Depending upon where it went down, that wouldn't be too surprising. Down at the bottom of one of those glacier fields, it might as well be on Mars for all the luck you'll have finding it. Or in muskeg, it might have been swallowed up almost instantly, like that, was it Air Blue jet liner that went into a swamp down south?

To help look for debris. The saying is that you are qualified if you can see lightning or hear thunder, but in this case, they didn't need to hear, so I left it off.

They were desperate to find any trace of the aircraft, so they had truck drivers, cooks, line mechanics, and just about anyone else they could shanghai into an aircraft to help look.

There are some interesting ones missing still up there. There was one that went missing that had a Congress critter on board, they even sent SR-71s and U-2s to help with the search for him.
