You couldn't make it up if you tried .

What did they want him to say: Be alarmed people. That’s not something a leader says

It’s about trying to reassure people even though adults know there no such thing.

Trump is a truly foul and sinister being.

Even if he does disagree with this mayor, then you still don’t say what he says at this time.

He probably knows some things we don't.

I get the feeling President Trump is frustrated with the years and years of ineffective policies, stupidity, and just plain ineptness among politicians who are just more interested in getting re-elected than doing the tough job of getting it done.

Oh, yeah...reassure The People. As if grown-ups hearing "don't be alarmed" is all it takes. Politicians really must think their citizens are stupid lemmings.

"Don't be alarmed that there are police crawling everywhere....don't look behind the curtain....nothing to see there....we're on it...23,000 known potential jihadists....go about your business....no need to be alarmed at the thousands of extra police "looking under every nook and cranny".,,,"and oh, by the way, we're going to take in another 20,000 refugees, but don't worry...don't be alarmed....we got it under control". pffft!

Its ok for them to say this, but not for Trump to point out his belief that people like Khan that say that its just a way of life and there is nothing to fear helps lead to more terror?

You miss the point , or perhaps you're just ignoring it , Trumps tweet is misleading.

What difference does it make? I'm pretty sure that sentence makes liberals look the other way, right?

I love how the progressive left use terms such as "Fearmonger". Lets review:

Fearmonger - Anyone that beats a libtard with facts and logic in an argument.
Hatemonger - see Fearmonger
Conspiracy nut - see Fearmonger
Racist - see Fearmonger
Homophobic - see Fearmonger
Hater - see Fearmonger
Denier - see Fearmonger
Etc.

Fixed!!

Really?

No reason to be alarmed because there are a lot of armed cops on the street because of terrorists?

Imagine how calm people would be if they put some tanks out there.

Trump needs to be selective in making his opinions public, it only causes him problems when he doesn't.

As far as the Mayor of London's statement goes, it's a typical for government officials to tell the public to, "Stay calm, no need to worry" when things are really out of control. This advice is almost always wrong when they give it. The normal pattern for the government in charge is to first lie about the situation (usually placing the blame on someone), down play the seriousness of it, say that they are taking measures to control it and for the public to remain calm.

There's a playbook somewhere.

1 - Project confidence and control
2 - Assign blame
3 - Exploit the political advantage
4 - Insist it was expertly handled although 'questions will be answered.'

The next person (POTUS/mayor/politician/Senator etc) gets to blame all their own shortfalls and failures on the previous incumbent. Naturally they take all the credit too.

Did you see the faces of the two jihadis that did this? They look downright evil.
It is time to get tougher. Trump is right. Words words words don't help the victims or their families.

You are right, look at those evil faces.... we need to get tougher with terrorists, I agree......

imagine the outrage in the media in the us if any politician tweeted about giving away one million bibles.

So? What's the problem? Gideons give millions of Bibles too, every year, in fact not only most hotels have a Bible in the room, hospitals have a Bible inside each bedside table. Where's the outrage at the free Bibles imposed on patients?

I think you should try to stop the war zone in your country before criticizing Khan, there have been 145 mass shootings in the US in 2017 so far. London and the UK in general are a lot safer than the US and yet no British Prime Minister have ever criticized an American Mayor.

Didn't know there were that many, what qualifies as a mass shooting?

The definition of mass shooting is an incident where four or more people are shot, not including the shooter.

US Gun Violence Archive.

I have got a question to all those praising Trump for his tweet and the beneath lying wisdom. What is HIS agenda with this post, what is he trying to accomplish, what's his goal regarding the current situation ?

What is the constructive part about it ? If there is any apart from closing US borders I mean ?

Rarely do these incidents make the headlines unless there is something particularly interesting about them. Inner cities are a bit of a war zone, without looking carefully at the stats, mostly gang and drug related I would guess.

The problem and difference is that this Muslim major and his friends have been passing a million Qurans after 3 Muslim extremists used the deeds and calls to battle by their prophet to murder more people...

The Quran verses on murdering infidels, and unbelievers are open-ended, and the main prophet of Islam resorted to using those same tactics that Muslim extremists are using these days.

BTW, you should learn the difference between the old testament, and the new testament. Jesus Christ was not a raider who ordered for beheading of enemies that surrendered. Jesus Christ did not take slaves, or slaves as wives from caravans that were raided, and he did not call for his followers, and the followers of God to take up arms and invade by force the world... Mohammed did, and does call for his followers to do all of the above and more.

Even the old testament, the stories are told in a historical sense, contained within the times. It was a blueprint for regional domination, one which wasn't meant to carry forward to the followers of the religion today.

Jihad is a clear and present danger, we are seeing version 2.0 ramping up now. It is not constrained by a historical context, it is a blueprint for world domination in the present times, open ended and very clear with it's message.

Dare you to watch this couple minute long video contained on the following page.

Did 'they' deceive the public with lies or didn't they?

So your reply is that British Intelligence community is incompetent?

Funny name op of gortex as your user name.As looks like you , a couple other posters, and the mayor had your triggered card pulled. FURTHERMORE you and CNN took Trumps tweet and spun it like a bad game of kick the can. Pretty obvious to most folks not to take your threads serious. OR was your argument based on $3.50
