London Mayor Sadiq Khan issued a statement after the attack telling Londoners they should not be alarmed by an increased police presence on the streets , Donald Trump in his infinate wisdom and in depth knowledge of everything tweeted this a couple of hours ago...

Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!
twitter.com...

The tweet makes no sense , it isn't an excuse it is reassurance to the people of London from the Mayor of London and "Fake News" Trump selectively quoted what the mayor had said giving the impression the Mayor was talking about the terror threat and not the extra number of police , some armed , on the streets.
Mr Khan actually said ...

Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. No reason to be alarmed."
www.bbc.co.uk...

There is a Pathetic Excuse Mr President but Khan's statement wasn't it.

Explain to me what Khan met then.

I assume if there is an increased police presence, its because they are looking for terrorists. This would seem to be a reason to be alarmed.

It could also mean that the increase in Police is to simply reassure the public. Not cause more panic.

I mean, who in their right-mind, after such attacks, wouldn't increase the police presence?

It was pretty insensitive and immature of Trump to not send his condolences and instead attack him.

But I mean it's Mr.Trump. since when has he ever been PC? He's going to say what he wants, how he wants and when he wants.

People will either have to get used to it, or continue to be triggered.

There is an increased police presence as would be expected but as TruthsSword said it is to be seen as reassuring and evidence that they are working to protect the public , that is what Khan meant.
Explain to me what Trump meant then.

he's saying don't be alarmed by the extra police presence! doesn't take a rocket scientist to know exactly what he meant - good god!

I posted this in another thread this morning, but I like it so much, I'm doing it again.

Big Shot, Billy Joel

Because you had to be a big shot, didn't you
You had to open up your mouth
You had to be a big shot, didn't you
All your friends were so knocked out
You had to have the last word, last night
You know what everything's about
You had to have a white hot spotlight
You had to be a big shot last night

Yes, yes, you had to be a big shot, didn't you
You had to prove it to the crowd
You had to be a big shot, didn't you
All your friends were so knocked out
You had to have the last word, last night
You're so much fun to be around
You had to have the front page, bold type
You had to be a big shot last night

Well, it's no big sin to stick your two cents in
If you know when to leave it alone
But you went over the line
You couldn't see it was time to go home
No, no, no, no, no, no, you had to be a big shot, didn't you
You had to open up your mouth
You had to be a big shot, didn't you
All your friends were so knocked out
You had to have the last word, last night
So much fun to be around
You had to have a white hot spot light
You had to be a big shot last night

The song itself is even better!

Did trump not send this tweet prior?

"Whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the UK, we will be there - We are with you. God bless!."

I've been waiting to see how people try to spin this. Khan's statement was obviously taken completely out of context by Trump.

It's right there for everyone to see.

Now, let the gymnastics commence..

Did trump not send this tweet prior?

So that gives him the right to misconstrue Khan's statement ?

Sure thats true.

But Khan also said the terror level was to remain severe, and that they were looking for more people.

Do I expect him to say "The police will be out; be scared" Of course not.

But this is the man that has said that everyone justs needs to realize terrorism is just going to happen and we have to get used to it.

So when he says there will be more police, no need to be worried, it does sound hollow.

This faux outrage after Trumps tweet is another example of the lefts desire to demonize Trump in every possible way.

Were was all of the outrage of all of the world leaders and media when they same Trumps rhetoric of saying Islamic terror would cause more terror.

Its ok for them to say this, but not for Trump to point out his belief that people like Khan that say that its just a way of life and there is nothing to fear helps lead to more terror?

You miss the point , or perhaps you're just ignoring it , Trumps tweet is misleading.

..and why should Khan be given the benefit of the doubt on what he meant?
It's pretty stupid to tell Londoners not to be alarmed.. two terrorist attacks have happened in quick succession in London. Of course they are alarmed!
This was not even an interview - it was a considered communication. Utterly dumb thing to say. He should be focused on telling Londoners what he is doing about the shambles of a security system and police force he resides over.

After Manchester the army and police were out in force - should Londoners not have been alarmed then too? A few days before another terrorist attack?

They will also be questioning why another known extremist was allowed to organise the murder of innocent civilians.

Melania needs to take Donald's Twitter away...

I wish they gave John McCain a Twitter, that would be madness.

COVFEFE!

I think Trump needs to worry about Chicago before he starts criticizing London's mayor.

That being said I am not a huge fan of London's mayor. Some of his policies are against what I stand for but I am not from England so my opinion is moot.
