Hi first of all thank you for celebrating my birthday with me. It means a lot that all of you decided to join in and have fun with me.

The shuttle was very moving. The second i saw her my heart skipped a beat. She seems so much smaller when your ten feet away from her. So much more delicate. I stood there staring up at her mouth agape seeing all the pock marks on her thermal tiles. All the wear she took during her years of service. I watched the video footage of her as she was walked from LAX down the streets and neighborhoods of Los Angeles for nearly three days straight. The look of pride in all of those involved from the police gaurding her on her journey to the firemen attending to the men and women operating the tractor towing her. I got choked up and teary eyed. I looked left and right and noticed most everyone else there was too.
