This is a good thing. Let's hope President Trump does not fall for another "Paris agreement" that will only favor the rich.

Here it is again what the whole "Anthropogenic Climate Change" hoax is all about for those who don't understand what is happening.

EPA Chief concedes climate rule; it's about 'reinventing a global economy'

The most these "austerity measures, similar to those of Venezuela, would have done to "solve climate change" is to lower temperatures "at best" 0.01C. Nature lowers and raises temperatures more than that.

Explain how the Paris Accord was going to reduce global temperatures Vs the trajectory and by how much...

..and here is what the UN chief on climate change had to say:

“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history,” Christiana Figueres, who heads up the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, told reporters.

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for the, at least, 150 years, since the industrial revolution,” Figueres said.

Leaving the Pointless Paris Agreement doesn't do much in of itself. Trump has got to pull the US out of the UN's Framework on Climate Change Convention!!

Agreed, and if he does that, he can immediately cease all connection to the Paris Accord.

Agree with you on that 100%. We need to get the U.S. out of the UN.

The plan from Myron Ebell, liberals heads will explode, but contrary to their shouts, this plan is not going to cause environmental harm.

First on the wishlist is axing the Paris deal.

Second is a call to “defund” the UN’s climate body (UNFCCC), which receives around US$4 million a year from the US government.

Third, Trump should “overturn” Obama’s clean power plan, which regulates power plant emissions, underpinned by a 2009 court ruling that said greenhouse gas emissions endanger public health.

Fourth, the US should amend the Clean Air Act – which was used by lawmakers to regulate CO2 – to ensure it can no longer do so.

Fifth, Trump should repeal the Clean Power Plan’s CO2 standards for power plants.

Sixth, Trump and Congress should oppose all carbon taxes (Note: incoming US secretary of state Rex Tillerson is a fan of a revenue neutral carbon tax).

Seventh, Trump should scrap US calculations of what the “social cost of carbon” could be.

Eighth, freeze biofuel subsidies, a policy first deployed under George W Bush. The CEI recommends Congress should…

Ninth (this is the last one), the CEI says all scientific agencies must meet rigorous standards that they currently do not abide by, urging for new “weight of evidence” tests.

can the world get so hot that it realizes its getting hot, so it starts to form more ice to cool down?

There could be feedback mechanisms that slow the heating, yes.

Surface Temp increases -> More evaporation -> More clouds form -> More sunlight reflected back to outer space -> Surface temp decreases.

Don't let the MSM fool you, the science is far from settled, there's a million and one feedback loops and mechanisms that cannot be accounted for in the models.

More C02 is good, crop yields are up, it's airborne fertilizer.

It wasn't congress or the American voter that got us in the Paris Climate Accord... it was Obama virtue signalling to the world on behalf of everyone else.

Good riddance. Maybe we will actually renegotiate it instead of completely de-industrializing the first world.

No. That is not good enough. The USA needs to divest itself from the UN. The Paris Agreement was symbolic in many aspects. The real danger is the United Nations Framework Conference on Climate Change. Gotta ditch that one. America is capable of setting it's own rules, who is the UN to tell the USA what to do? The UN has too much power that way, able to control a nations energy program, you control it's economic destiny.

What has his decision got to do with his opinion on whether the sea level will rise?

This thread

Kind of sums up my views on the alt-right.

I would go further but I can't because apparently it is against ATS policy to criticise too much.

Finally: you all have those fridges with icemakers, too, right? USE THEM AND DROP THOSE ICE-CUBES over your roofs - they will melt and the energy used for that will be taken from the environment -> temperatures drop! House cooler! World cooler, if we all help!

For the love of god, you can't make this stuff up!

Climate change is truly the root of all evil, people are brainwashed enough to believe it is all powerful and all knowing, reminds me of a religion.

Besides that, are they questioning if Trump is pulling out of the agreement? What part don't they get, the agreement is dead in the USA. It wasn't worth the paper it was printed on.
