As Presidential candidate for the Republican party, Donald J. Trump promised to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Accord.

As President of the United States, Donald J. Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accord.

(That's called "keeping a campaign promise")

I applaud Trump for following through on his promises and for protecting the US from an agreement which was terribly one-sided and impotent toward a problem that, even if it exists, is insignificant. I also applaud his stated willingness to renegotiate should a fairer, more realistic approach be put forward. For those upset at this decision, I remind you that any treaty must be approved by 67+ US Senators. Had that happened instead of Obama's Executive overreach, Trump would have been unable to withdraw as easily.

Thank you, Barack Obama, for being so inept. And thank you, Donald Trump, for being so honest with us, the voters.

Yeah he did and inside of that coffin is one of the worst trade deals in the history of trade deals.

I'm pretty sure trump will be the first president in history to the the American flag salute him.... wow I'm not tired of winning yet, but I sure hope this stuff continues

But again, which scientists are in disagreement with the theory of man made global warming?
Lets define that. Catastrophic Global Warming theory? Lots.
The simplified theory that C02 is a Greenhouse Gas? You won't find many arguing against that.
You wait, if we enter into a decline in temps, C02 will get the blame.
Climate is much more than C02 = warming.

The real climate scare would be global cooling, truth be told.

The real climate scare is ocean acidification. When the oceans become toxic, we are well and truly screwed.

Sounds like you guys dodged a bullet by electing Trump..

That Paris agreement sounds like it was a complete and utter fraud.

California cannot enter into a treaty with foreign powers, but it can voluntarily abide by the provisions in the Paris Accord. Trump's decision did not make the provisions of the Paris Accord illegal; he simply didn't make them mandatory for the US.

States' rights apply.

Overblown and debunked. Typical alarmism. File it alongside coral reef bleaching and methane seeps.

I'm tellin' 'ya... Trump is a genius. All he did is pull out of a Bad Deal for the American Taxpayers. It didn't prevent any industry, company, or individual from taking steps to be environmentally conscious.

We finally have a president that is beholden to the American People and the American workers, not the globalist elite activists, the Hollyweird bunch, Big Donor money, nor any other special interest. America First!!

Yep! That's why we limit sulfur content in fuels.

Now we just get screwed on the international stage... EU is already talking about a 5% fee on all US goods.

They wanna start a trade war over this?

Let em.

USA will come out on top, the EU is teetering on the brink as it is.

Don't think for a minute that President Trump didn't think about the possible backlash. Stay tuned.

I was just paying my home Electric Bill and saw a $3.00 "Renewable Energy" surcharge. Will that now go away, since we no longer have to fund the Paris boondoggle? Hope so!

Wow, great! That means we'll put 10% on their goods and bring more jobs back to the US.

I might actually get tired of all this winning...

Send an email to the Green Climate Fund and ask for a refund while you're at it.

Reinvigorating the coal industry is tantamount to a roll back of environmental standards, absent some kind of technical breakthrough toward "clean coal".

It's never going to happen. Natural gas is easier to mine, cheaper to sell, burns cleaner, provides more energy, and is safer.

The out of work miners who still carry their pick axes around with them (yes, they do this) in Appalachia are going to have to continue to do so. Perhaps, rather than try to bring back coal jobs, we could instead teach them how to read, and then how to use those reading skills to learn new jobs.

But teaching them how to read would be a social program...
Socialism...
Red commie pinko stuff that takes taxpayer money from you.
They don't want to learn to read anyway.

goods? what goods? America doesn`t make anything anymore, lol

and if Europe doesn`t want to by the few goods that America does make I`m sure America won`t have any problem selling those goods to someone else.
