...You are just the worst kind of people, gordi...

To be fair.... when I first set up the account, I did play drums too!
But that would not have been quite as funny.

Mornin' Shedizens.

Man I am having trouble keeping up. The Shed is moving way too fast for me right now!

OK, going back to catch up.

For those interested, I put an entry into the short story contest. It took a crazy turn and was really fun to write. Hope you guys enjoy it, even if you're not reading it for contest purposes. A Universal Expression.

I'll have another episode of Falling up shortly, as well.
Alrighty...

Unsure if he is hungry, thirsty, or just needs his litterbox
cleaned, Shlaw walks up and down the shed's hallways
yowling: "Meow...meow...meow...". Once everyone is
awake, he might take a well deserved nap.

Mornin' shlaw! You sound like the neighborhood cat that has adopted us. It sleeps in the planter outside the front door. Sometimes, when Mrs. Shepherd & I are watching Netflix in bed, you'll hear: "Mrowr. Mrowr. Mrowr."

Loosely translated, I believe it means "Get the heck out of bed, pet me, feed me, and adore me. Like now. K?"

Close, but what he/she actually means is - "Are you awake? Are you awake? Are you awake?"
Then the rest follows. LOL

Ain't that the truth! An author recently said 'six hours a day at a keyboard is
no way to live'. And I thought- easy for him to say, he's already got it made.

Yes, OK - that seems about right. LOL

Well, since I actually already spend over eight hours a day hunched over a keyboard (I'm a computer programmer), doing it for only six hours a day is an improvement!! LOL

LOL - that's about how well programming is going this week. The tough thing about being a programmer is that your skill set seems to fall obsolete about every 12-24 months. It's kind of humbling, actually

Folks - I got the latest installment of Falling up. As always, you can follow the link in my signature to the beginning of the story, or you may use this link to go directly to the new post:
Falling: An Epic Fantasy - Not For Anyone

Lucid -

This was wonderfully written and so, so true. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just pinpoint the big bad villain in our lives, figure out how to defeat them, and then magically live happily ever after?

Unfortunately, the big bad villain in our lives so often turns out to be inside our own hearts or minds, and there's no spell or magic talisman or silver arrow that can fix it.

I am slacking in the word of the day thing Sir Gordi. I've been so tired I can't even make one up.
Someone else can freely take my place if they'd like.
You made me chuckle with how you chose your posting name. LOL
