Driver, awesome that you got a free t.v. and got yourself some steak. Enjoy! When people say they are old I have to ask HOW old are you? Some people could be in their 30's say they are old and of course I laugh.

Gordi, what a cool holiday weekend! Love the vid! Oh and that pic of your eldest cracked me up the first time I saw it and again just now! Ahahaha! We have put up a 'for free' sign many times for various things. I love the idea that it can bring joy to others.

I did a good deed today.

Last Friday, I was emptying trash at work. I clean a school. Anywho, a journal was in the trash and when it landed in my can I saw the words "cutting helps". Once I was away from the classroom I opened it. I saw the words "I don't know why I can't be happy. Cutting helps. Sometimes I just want to...I can't say." There was some equally dark stuff on other pages.

The office was closed so I couldn't do anything about it then. I had an agonizing weekend and today turned it in. The woman I turned it into read it, said that it was really serious, and said that she'll be turning it over to the school counselor.

I hope whoever it belonged to gets help.

I think you just may have set the wheels in motion that at least the individual in question might not be feeling so alone soon. Plenty of kids have problems but at certain ages kids make the wrong choices because everything is so big and scary.

Some cut, some get eating/body disorders, depression, drug abuse, and unfortunately, even suicide. My family has experienced all those except the first one listed, as far as I am aware.

Sometimes we all need someone to talk to, but sometimes we just need someone to know how we feel even if we can't say much about it ourselves.

If there are gods, I'm sure one or two are smiling down on you today.

Though my brave characters are a part of me, I'm afraid I lack their courage and strength more often than not.

Me at a Doctor's office thinking: OMG, what will they find this time????? What kind of tests will they want this time? Wants to kick and scream and say NOOOOO I won't go!

Pesky with hands on hips and wagging her finger: "I'm fine, you aint gonna find nothing, but ok, bring it on! I'm not afraid of you or your tests!

Wolf: crouches down, ears folded back in warning with a growl and teeth bared. "I don't need no damned tests!"

If you were not one bit anxious about that kind of a thing, i would be more alarmed. I think that is a normal reaction. Just try not to let the anxiety get too strong of a hold of you and let's all hope you will get some peace of mind after the results come, hopefully good results that is.

I don't have too much to tell at the moment. 6 AM, coffee and trying to find some new stuff to listen via YT "recommended for you" videos.

Thanks Fin and Blue! I guess after you have had cancer, there is always the fear of getting it again. My primary care and specialists end up sending me for extra tests sometimes. Then sometimes they find an issue. There is some kind of growth or tumor or some damned thing but so far doesn't appear cancerous or anything. Still. I'm like a frightened little kitten backed into a corner by a huge dog. I know I'm such a drama Queen. LOL Sorry, but with anxiety things are magnified. I'll bring Pesky with me and I'll be ok.

Hey night star and all the shed people. Havent checked in in a while but the shed is still my favorite place on the internet.

Just been real busy last few mo ths getting everything together for Australia. Looking forward so much to be going there and the massive change of pace for me.

It feels like i get to reboot my life and its something im very grateful for.

So what have i missed since the last time i was in the shed?😃
