I swear, half the time when I check in here, there is no one home. I get busy or exhausted and nap for hours and people come out to play. I even missed Jess and Zazzy.

Marty, that Grandpa video made me laugh out loud!

ETA: Maddie (my name is Matthew) is what some Dutch friends call me. I think they think I am mad. I think they think they are right. Or something.

Hey! My dad and big bro were both called Matthew too!

The Wolf Lord sees all. Your own guilty mind will prove your undoing.

Hell, now you made me hungry. I wonder if they need all of those goats.

OK. This is getting kinda creepy now. I am beginning to feel like a long-lost unwanted relative that was dumped at the Scottish border while the rest of the family went on to conquer mountains, dragons and gold. (Yes, there is gold in Scotland people) I will forthwith restrain myself from revealing personal and possibly damaging information about myself. I'm feeling quite sad now...

I will retreat now and sing the song of my people in solitude, out of tune and very loudly.

See Gordi, you were even caught by our mighty Wolf Lord! HA!
That's ok, I had the pixies make extras today.

Good job Pheonix! Now go eat some goats.

Matthew, I remember a childhood friend by that name. God we were comical together and had so much fun!
Your last line reminded of the cat diaries! LOL!

Okay, as everyone is here right now I might as well peek in the door and say hello. Today has been a good but tiring day so far. Looks like I will be experiencing the joys, lol, of a colonoscopy sometime in the near future. I'll explain more about my day later on as my body is still in shock due to getting up way too early today for the dr. appointment.

Behave yourselves while I'm gone as Night is watching the Shed now.

Wait...how did you know I was here?

I have procrastinated about having a colonoscopy for years. Once you have had cancer, you are sent for extra tests all the time. I have various health problems and 4 Doctors, 3 of them are specialists. They all want blood work or x rays or some other damned thing. Now with Autumn coming, I have more appointments coming up and my anxiety has been rising. So if I'm bitchy, people will know why. LOL! I also have to pay a portion for all this stuff on a limited income which sucks. Cranky Elf. Beware!

Sheesh, I didn't mean to scare you all away. I won't bite. I promise.

Going out tomorrow for lunch, groceries and errands with my friend, but will be popping in with coffee in the morning. OMG, I have to get up while it is still morning!

Love to you all!

Using my special powers I was able to detect that you were here by sensing your crankiness lol

Overall today was a good day. My sister took me to the dr. appointment then we went out for lunch at a Mexican restaurant. We went to the grocery store after that as I had medication to pick up and needed to do my own shopping as I was so tired of dad doing the shopping while I couldn't walk much. Due to Harvey, my SNAP benefits had a nice bonus and some restrictions have been reduced until the end of this month. I bought enough for us to get by for a couple of weeks with plenty of money left on my account.

About the colonoscopy dr. visit, I have enough symptoms to sort of-kind of-maybe need the colonoscopy. Therefore I need to get written permission from my cardiologist to have the procedure done. They don't want to do anything that may interfere with my heart condition or with the medicine I'm taking for it.

My stinky health insurance is in the news again.
Due to Harvey, our mail has been delayed a few days. Today I received a letter letting me know that I have an appointment with them LAST Friday. They need to make another copy of my ID. They only have three copies so far but I guess they lost them. So,,,, tomorrow afternoon I'll be providing this again.

While I'm in the same building I want to see if I can apply for dental services as well due to my broken tooth. Thursday I go back to the same building to see my MD. I plan on calling tomorrow morning to see if she has any Wednesday cancellations so I can save the extra trip.

Once I have most of this done tomorrow and if time allows, I plan on driving to the south side of the town to pick up my psych medication that I have been off of for one week.

One thing of good news that I learned from my sister is that my dad's brother (the one who bought me this laptop) is considering moving here to be near dad. Since the loss of his son, he doesn't really have anyone to be close to I think. He is a great deal like me in looks and thinking, so he's cool. The only problem with him moving 1800 miles or so is his failing eyesight. He can still drive, but I don't know how well he can see.

I haven't told my dad yet about my plans for tomorrow as I'm too tired today to put up the required argument that proves I'm a better driver than he is, therefore he has no need to drive me to where I am going. He prefers to drive as it's away to control me and he things my new meds that I've been off of for a week makes me too sleepy to drive.

LightSpeedDriver tiptoed in to the Dragons sleeping cave with a mischievous smile on his face. Slowly he crept towards Firestone, the largest and most fiery of the dragons. Firestone was a dragon that didn't like draughts so slept close to the fire.

Looking cautiously around to make sure he had disturbed none of the snoring dragons, he dropped a small handful of Dragon Wort on the fire and waited patiently. It didn't take long. With a sound like a razor cutting through stone, Firestone opened an eye and looked blurrily at LightSpeed but rapidly the focus of an ancient eye was directed at Light's direction. Firestone was cranky in the mornings, as was usually LightSpeedDriver...

"Shh...it's okay, but wake up, we have a mission to attend to, wake the rest gently, we need Brimstone and Hellfire for this one too so go wake them gently please, I'll be back once the coffee has boiled."

LightSpeedDriver climed aboard Firestone with a sealed jug of freshly brewed coffee and took to the skies in a flap and a torrent of rushing air that almost took the air out of his lungs. He held on for dear life but still with a mischievous smile on his face....

As the mission approached its' objective LightSpeedDriver briefed the dragons in their objective.

"I'm sorry to wake you at this early hour but I have heard tell of someone that needs a wake-up call. If you make the noise (no fire or smoke!) I'll give the coffee. And remember, no fire!"

As the party approached the destination some of the dragons were having trouble. One of them let out a morning fart and incinerated a small wood. One coughed out some smoke but not enough to mask the smell.

"OK guys you know the drill. Make this house/valley rumble and scream with Dragon Song, no fire!"

Firestone began. A slow guttural rumble exploded into what seemed like the eruption of a volcano and the other dragons rumbled in tune. The notes each emitted, louder than the previous ones, began to shake the house. Light watched as it started to get dangerous. "OK, guys enough! Thank you!"

Light jumped off the back of Firestone with coffee in hand performing a triple back-somersault and not a drop was spilled.

He knocked loudly on the door (the inhabitants were visibly awake as light was visible), put the coffee pot down and climbed back on to Firestone. "Thanks guys, mission accomplished, she needed to awake early and I think she did today."

Grateful my house is guarded by Holy angels. Would hate to see a vindictive human try and use a dragon for its nefarious purposes.

Holy angels have great powers 😏

Dragon Flame is also a good deterrent.
Dragons are like dogs, there's always one of them that sleep with an eye/ear open.

Night heard the guttural song of dragons fill the air. She opened one eye and then the other. No one could sleep through dragon songs, even the deepest of sleepers. She padded her way to the kitchen and found the fresh brewed coffee. Peering out the window, she could see LightSpeedDriver as he flew upon the back of Firestone and disappeared into the clouds above. She sat at the hardwood table and smiled.

Driver, thank you, I just loved your story entry! What a wonderful thing to wake up to! Hugs!
