Gordi, Thank you for leaving the link to the writer's contest again for those who may not have seen and to remind those who have!

How is it across the pond today? We had a lovely warm day with a nice breeze, great food and company. We even had a couple of guitar strummers and singers. The Great Nieces and Nephews are all growing like weeds. My Niece has her baby bump belly. LOL

It's early yet, but always nice to be in a comfy nighty and barefoot. So yeah...I'm good.

Weather's been "In-Betweeney"!!
I've been busy ripping up old carpets in the hall and stairs because tomorrow.... we get new carpets fitted!!!
The old ones have been there... FOREVER!!! LOL
So we're REALLY looking forward to getting a new carpet down.

It was Callum's 12th birthday today... he is getting SO BIG & grown up!! (I think his favourite present was his Aussie Bush Hat! Are you listening Timely Dave?? LOL)
We watched Scotland win at the football in the world cup qualifiers too... so ALL IS GOOD in Gordiland!

I usually wear socks every day but not with sandals lol. Just felt like being barefoot for a change. Oh and that is after putting a wonderfully scented cream on my feet. Makes them soft and smell pretty. LOL

Mark has ben complaining about carpets and wants new ones too, though I love the one in the living room and it still looks great. We will be painting soon around the place. I say 'we', but with all this pain, I doubt I'll be much help. I'll have to help move things around and out of the way. UGH!

Firestone awoke with a jump. She had just heard an offensive and unwarranted opinion being proffered in a thread unworthy of opinion yet so intrinsically offensive that the whole universe should have puked.

She opened one eye, slowly but decisively. Like a laser beam her retina scanned the perimeter noting nothing except Gold, shadows and fire. All is well, eight bells.

And yet...the opinion burned with a slow, gentle, insidious fury. Insatiable, unwarranted, unwanted. A comment was surely justified, even in fury and unreasonableness. Yes!

The reply was released and received. The people did not look happy and Firestone realised that her task had been completed. She closed her one good eye safe in the knowledge that no unsavoury persons were close by....
