The model landfall predictions are still spread along the east coast all the way north to New England.
The Canadian Ensemble for MSLP seems to have three areas of lower pressure where the storm center might be on the 10th.
Some of the older weather models used varying discrete inflection points that could produce separated areas like this.
Modern models might use chaos theory and the nodal quality might be due to different attractors.
Looks kind of surreal in the long range with all the location possibilities still in superposition.

Even the Euro booted their track north of Puerto Rico which should reduce the danger there.

We really need that high pressure ridge to move north and eastward bring some sunshine to Europe and give Irma some breathing room to move into the Canadian Maritimes without making landfall. There she can die a quick cold death and only affect the fish.

North of P.R. Is better for the island but not a good sign for the U.S. east coast. I'm hoping for that northward turn sooner rather than later. Having it pass east of Bermuda would be great. Brings good surfing to Virginia beach but no storm.

Well Irma is now a Cat 4. Irma will turn North and likely impact South Florida.

Florida Governor declares state of emergency.

There are different paths she still could take.

That projection cone had Irma skirting over North Cuba and weakening, just 6 hours ago. You'd think that the destruction-loving mainstream media was influencing these charts and projections.

Edit: Oh I see. It's The Weather Channel. That explains it. Looking for a boost in viewers again. TWC will do its best to "will" Irma into Texas.

Well there's still a chance she could keep going north and head up the east coast.

If I was living in Southern Florida, I would be preparing.
