There are kids in reception classes who are gay. All the way through school, there are boys and girls who are clearly gay. That's not a cultural thing or a 'let's be different' thing, it's a hardwired into their identity thing. It happens in Brazilian tribes, Chinese farmlands and other places where TV and media don't have their claws in quite yet.

The irony of what you say is how so many historical gay folk actually pretended to be straight to fit in. Wives lying back and saying they had a headache. Husbands imagining some guy to get aroused etc. If it was so simple as a choice, they'd bloody well have chosen to be straight. When homosexuality was illegal, people committed suicide out of the shame of being gay. Men imprisoned. 'Confirmed bachelors' who went to their graves sexless and single rather than admit to another man they were after some Broke Back Mountain evening.

You can tell it's genetic because some are gay from a hundred yards away. Women who actually look like men. Men who are so effeminate they look gay walking down a normal street. I went to school with a lad who was so camp he had his ass kicked for being gay before he even knew he was gay. There's no way he chose that life and couldn't walk straight if he tried. He only 'came out' at 17. According to his sister, he's been married to a man for (I guess) 20 years now.

I know it's a generation thing and probably an American thing to blame gay on the gays. It's still wrong and out of date. People are born gay and have no say in it.

For one, you'd need to spend a lot of time around homosexuals to 'report them every day.' You'd need 365 a year to maintain your batting average. The local gays would notice you around every day as their community was shrinking away lol

Secondly, the last time you brought the claim out, you had just one gay in your sights. Suddenly it's daily. It's a classic disconnect in your narrative! You've got to be committed to the plot.

Thirdly, you tried too hard. If you're gonna bait people with lurid, emotional claims, you have to be gentle and slow. Going right in with 'I report homosexuals every day' was too much. That first version was much better because your audience could kinda think, "Is this true? Is this fake? I can't decide."
