SAIC failed to produce the required results for the FBI in a $170 million project to produce a Virtual Case File. Now there is an investigation in place to see if any part of the software can be saved.

Yet more confidence inspiring action by SAIC includes the recent theft of stockholder information by their computers.

Testimony from SAIC in response to Media stories regarding this.

Perhaps I'm the only person on the board who cares, but it seems like if Big Brother needed a univeral Case File software, they could have picked a smaller, more competant company with less overhead to design it, for far less money. Obviously choosing a multinational defense contractor put too many cooks in the kitchen. With the amount of raw talent and fine software developers available, this project should have been an easy success for about $25 million.
