According to pastor John Hagee who works on the executive board for “Christians United for Israel” said, “Supporting Israel is not a political issue ... it is a bible issue,”…

Darrel Bock, a Bible Scholar also added this…

“It looks back to the idea that God has made certain commitments to his people — to the people through whom the gospel originally came — and he’s not abandoning them, ultimately. And so there’s a hope that drives this belief that Israel deserves to be supported,” he said.

Source

Mr Bock also stated that God makes good on his promises etc…and that God has made certain commitments to “his people”…

But according to the Bible, there is neither Jew nor Gentile…

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Christianity teaches that Jesus came for everyone, so why are Christians singling out one nation for help, support and donations etc…based on them being the “chosen people…”…in light of Galatians 3:28…?

I mean, it’s one thing to do missionary work, but this type of help is completely different…

And to make matters even worse…

According to the Book of Revelations, the anti-Christ is going to set himself up in the Temple of Jerusalem…

The country is predominetly non-Christian, and has largely rejected Jesus, so in light of this and the future prophecies, why is any Christian even supporting it…

I’m not a Christian myself, but from a purely Christian perspective, this just looks completely messed up…

Thoughts…?

Christians are brain-washed to think of the government as God. Nobody ever questions God as described in this article:

Christians Worship Authority of the State

The picture of Jesus walking with the soldier alone is worth the click!

Israel is a ambiguous term . Is it a piece of land or is it a subgroup of people with a certain faith .

They think / believe that Jesus will return to Israel, destroy the Arab muslims (who believe he's the Messiah) and save the Israelis (who call him a false prophet and a b*****d). All because of biblical reasons of course.

Go figure

Well this being what appears to be an
honest question, I will try to provide an
honest answer.

Israel, like any other country, state, kingdom,
district, is made up of people.
Inherently imperfect people.

Yet, in spite of this fact,
there arises a history that is not
only the birthplace of Judaism, but Christianity
as well. There is even more: Canaanites, Essenes,
Muslims, Philistines, and a myriad of mysterious faiths.

Keep in mind that Yeshua was a Rebel rabbi
sailing the Sea of Galilee. From my perspective,
a trouble maker to the status quo no less.
So, the simple answer is that it is historical
roots that bind the unusual support that you
question.

Christians support Israel because we believe that the words of Moses and the ancient prophets of Israel were inspired by God.

We believe that the emergence of a Jewish state in the land promised by God to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was ordained by God.

We believe that God has a plan for this nation which He intends to be a blessing to all the nations of the earth.

As an American, II support Israel because Israel is an island of democracy, an island of individual freedom, an island of the rule of law, and an island of modernity in the midst of a sea of dictatorial regimes, the suppression of individual liberty, and a fanatical religion intent on returning to the feudalism of 8th Century Arabia.

To answer your question here. The reason to support Israel it that it was predicted in the bible that a nation of Israel was to reappear in the future. And that in order for Jesus Christ to come back the rebuilt Temple and Antichrist appearing are all steps in the process of his return. And the start of the 1000 year reign of the saints in Revelation.

Jews want the temple for the appearance of their messiah. Christians want it for the return of theirs. Simple as that.

The Bible speaks of a post-Diaspora gather of Jews, but is this the Jews returning to Palestine after Hitler?

The belief in Jesus is immaterial. Since the Bible says that they will eventually learn of Jesus. In the meantime, the Jews still believe in God, and the 10 Commandments. So, their concept of what does and does not atone for sin, is immaterial.

Religion is simply being used as a tool for disseminating propaganda.

It is our government that supports Israel, due to its favorable location. Our government arms Israel, donates weaponry of all sorts to Israel and so on. Is there anything Christian in building and selling or giving away weapons? What would Jesus think of that?

Come to think of it, how can anyone rationalize being a Christian and owning weapons? Going to church and then going to an NRA meeting?

"But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also."
"Oh, and buy guns, buy lots of guns."

Comically though, even though our country is in the business of war, a religion of peace is being used to justify that war, and not many are noticing the irony.

Since when has anything religious people do ever made any sense? I mean, by now, you should realise that it's all just made up according to what they want from people.

See I thought the opposite
I thought all atheists worshiped the state, all atheists loved pol pot, Stalin Mao, thought all atheist wanted all religious freedoms destroyed, all religious people rounded up and placed in ovens
The pictures of treblenka are worth a click

As for the topic, christians know in prophecy that Israel needs a certain amount of prosperity for the prophecy to be fulfilled
And some Christians don't know what they believe
Some believe that the Old Testament teaching on those who bless Israel will be blessed is still valid

Well, when you consider that all three, the Orlando shooter, the Nice attacker, and ISIS are/were living an alternative lifestyle even though their religion forbids it.

Following proper codes of conduct as dictated by sexual moral standards keeps people from falling victim to possible demonic mind control that leads to fundamentalist violence.

Religion actually is about public safety.

Your Galatians quotation offers the correct New Testament perspective.
What you are noticing is that part of the church has lost sight of the New Testament perspective.

I think the historical process has gone like this;
In reaction to the excessive allegory of interpretation in the Middle Ages, Protestantism has focussed more on the literal meaning of the text.
In fundamentalism, especially in American fundamentalism, this focus on the literal meaning has become dogmatic.
The most deadly aspect of this development is that literalism is being dogmatically applied to the Old Testament, even though the whole point of the New Testament is to reinterpret what the Old Testament says. As Paul says, the Jews read the old scriptures through a veil (the literal interpretation) which only the Holy Spirit can lift.
Literalism applied to the Old Testament is responsible for many things, including the growth of legalism (which supports the demand for tithing).
In particular, it is responsible for a dogmatically literal approach to the question of "Israel and the promised land", which is NOT the New Testament approach.

Why not?

You see, the inference in your question is that there must be something weird or wrong with supporting Israel. There isn't. Israel figures highly in prophecies about a hopeful future fate for all Christians.

There is no reason to be antagonistic and vindictive about a truly tiny nation that poses most of us no threat.
