Hate to break it to you but I'm a woman and I watch nearly All horror movies and so do my grown daughters- and LOVE them! Don't know where the line of thinking that women freak out at horror movies comes from other than maybe young teen girls feigning fear as an excuse to snuggle up to their dates in the movie theater.

Perhaps the tizzy is due to the fact that Austin has a lot of people that have alternative life style to the extent that they can influence some local affairs one way or another. Just trying to be objective here and see the full picture.

I had a theory on this whole alpha beta thing.

Ever heard of Beta fish? If you put them in the same tank they're supposed to kill each other right?

Why do they call them Beta?

If you look in the wild, beta males within packs fight each other to try to become an alpha while the alpha leads the pack and bears children. But not only does he bear children, he hunts for food for the children. IE; a provider.

Human women are attracted to well off-to-do men with money. The more money the better. It's to provide for the children that they want. I had two ex's that wanted children but I didn't have the money at the time. That doesn't make me a beta because I'm not a hot headed fool that likes to fight to get praise. But, there's something to it. When it comes to men, I think the muscle bound tattooed guys are the betas and the intelligent, educated money making guys that get called nerds are the alphas.
