If I were president? I'd follow Dr. Paul's ideas. He is a true Libertarian in that sense. Withdraw all of our troops from foreign bases, cut down the bloated military budget, and bring them all home to secure our borders.

Turtle the # out of our nation like North Korea does. How else could a nation the size of Minnesota survive threats to nuke the planet? It's because they turtle like hell. They'd be a hard nut to crack. So why are we pounding nuts when we should be putting soldiers to work fixing our potholes and bridges?

The Clintons are notorious for their absolute HATRED of the military. The Clintons have a body count that rivals the worst Mexican gangs. The Bush's are far worse. I get it. They are all murderous pricks. They are the bastards that sent me, and plenty of my brothers, into the meat grinder. That is what they do.

Trump scares them, because they know that he can topple the pyramid.

Honestly, I'm just glad to see you posting again. Perhaps I've missed it but it seemed like you've taken a long break. You were always a decent person with a military-experience-perspective.

I also honestly hope you are right. That whole thing conservatives say about Trump with the "he's who is piloting; you want to make sure our pilot gets blow jobs and whatnot, right? Otherwise, we'll crash" kinda makes sense but I hate it. Like really really hate it.

But whether or not Trump is what we need, I still think it will be conservatives who will take him out (proverbially or literally).

I'm still hoping he'll say # it, "I'm going with single payer health care and using our troops to defend our border". If he did that, he could spin it as a patriotic thing ("Freedom Health" and "Project Eagle Border" or some #) and win both liberal AND conservative votes next term.

I have to admit: a small, weird part of me roots for the marmalade ball of chaos we have in the White House. I keep hoping his narcissism will get in the way of his ignorance and he'll try to make the majority happy, healthy, and safe. I haven't lost all hope yet.

What an amazing speach! This send shivers up my column!

This speach will be remembered for years! And years!

I dont think Trump ever sounded more pressiedential that he sounds in this speach! What really amazes me is the command of the language trump has with this speach! The rhytham. The pacing. He compleatly understands all the words hes saying.

I think he pobrably ignored the usual speachwritters and instead got like Arin Sorkin are one of hollyweirds' best speachwritters for this amazing perfectly paces. My favorite part is how he includes all the nations of the world and wants to form closer bonds of friendship its not all about america but rather a new spirit of optimism and whats happened in just a few months.

This will go down in historically seriously.

What a crock ! "Tear down that wall" which reunited east and west Germany for the first time since the Soviet Union built a wall and confined all east Germans to a miserable life after WW2. Regan came after Carter and during Carter's reign interest rates were around 20% and gas lines were miles long..Tax rates were always going up which Regan cut to much applause except for the socialist.. The policies of Regan is why no new taxes Bush then Clinton were able to move in and have some people think they were a first term decent president.. Regan took a severely stagnant economy and due to his tax cuts and business friendly approach America added 16 to 20 million new jobs depending on the source and no they were not all in the defense industry. The(INF) treaty Regan signed with Mikhail Gorbachev cut out an entire type of nuclear weapon which was the forerunner of the Start treaty which limited nuclear weapons on both sides.... I could go on but no doubt it would be lost on anyone who has been so called educated in the last 20 years.
