I would like to have heard more about the best tools to combating terrorism... tackling poverty and lack of access to education in war torn areas vs authoritarian response after the fact but I still think this was a good step provided te words in the speech are reflected in our Middle East policy.

I wonder how Russia is going to respond to Iran being put under the spotlight.

Yep. They've been on the hit list since the year 2000.

This "Summit" meeting gives us a clear view to WWIII. IMO

Probably the same old approach of guns blazing.
Perhaps that new center for counter terrorism being hosted by the US and sausis will be of any use?

That or behind closed doors, Trump was like, stop giving the terrorist money and Ill sign more arms deals, now lets get this dog and pony show on.

I agree and we have to count our blessings that we have a POTUS that is aiming to create stability.

I know in the back of my mind that he is furthering the globalist agenda but at least this PC bullsh!t is finally coming to an end. For the moment.

This is interesting. Considering that Trump wants better relations with the ruskies, perhaps an opportunity would present itself for both parties to benefit.
Russian sanctions are the key.

His speech was no more or less PC than any of Obama's.

That's not what I meant. Trump broke the mould by calling a spade a spade. There he is in Saudi Arabia surrounded by Muslims who he was accused of hating. Ironic huh?

Well Trump has visibly decided to stand with Saudi Arabia which is Saudi Oil vs Gazprom. What that actually translates to...

Couldn't watch the speech(es). The movie "Home" is on our tv for...reasons.

From what I've gathered here is that SA and Trump both made a visible stand against Iran? Interesting.

Perhaps Trump is attempting to lead Russia by their sanctions in an effort to test their resolve of their allies. Just spitballing here but that sounds like a crazy plan.

And don't forget Iran. Iran has just as much oil as Saudi Arabia, maybe even more. Iran's oil is to date still large unexplored.

The guy who couldn't even say the words "Radical Islam"?

There's a lot left to this trip so we'll see how consistent his language is throughout and then we have a scandal to get through when he returns. Policy wise, aside from this arms deal, we may have to wait a bit to how this plays out.

It's words. Obama said extremism, Islamic extremism. It really was a very sill thing to get hung up on.
