have you met Handle?

Handle is a research robot that stands 6.5 ft tall, travels at 9 mph and jumps 4​ ​feet vertically. ​It uses electric power to operate both electric and hydraulic actuators, with a range of about 15 miles on one battery charge. ​​​Handle uses many of the same dynamics, balance and mobile manipulation principles​ found in the quadruped and biped robots we build, but with only about 10 actuated joints, it is significantly less complex. Wheels are efficient on flat surfaces while legs can go almost anywhere: by combining wheels and legs Handle can have the best of both world

worry may not be the right word but i remember back in the day watching sci fi movies and seeing things like video phones or whatever and thinking that # was so far in the future.

now there are robots that can jump and pick up 100 pounds and cars that can drive themselves....

It´s more like they take it from you because they probably have better technology already but don´t want the subject to come up in public. That´s normally the case when the people live along but wander off to another field, quit their jobs because money + NDA.
