Good. Then maybe people will start using electric cars instead, and people will stop bitching about global warming.

Are you saying there is nothing to body language when it comes to leaders on the world stage?

Confidently tipping you head is one thing, gabbing ones ankles (as Obama did) is truly another.

Don't get me wrong; I think it's hilarious and awesome Trump didn't bow to him...

But I think we all know why Obama did and Trump didn't. Obama actually listens to briefings and researches a thing he's about to confront. Trump, on the other hand, has said repeatedly that he doesn't listen and that he's discovered the most elementary of foundations long after he's neck deep in a situation.

He probably just didn't even know it was a thing.

He probably bowed his head to make is easier for the King to put that necklace around his neck. Certainly he didn't bow out of respect.

He'll probably throw his back out if he tried to bow.

That said, Obama bowing before the King was all about respecting their culture. It's not like he didn't bow to the Japanese or European royalty as well.

Which would you rather have, bowing or kissing/hand holding?

Guess who kissed and held the Saudi's hand? I'll give you a hint, it wasn't Obama or a Democrat.

I hear it's hard to bow when you have a lot of belly fat.

What I want to see is for Trump pull the ole "I'm gonna pretend to shake your hand, but really I'm gonna hug you" move on the Saudi king.

I think it is a conscience decision for presidents on how they conduct themselves.

All presidents are briefed on how local cultures act and how not to step in it too bad. Obama chose to go overboard to accommodate a tradition, Trump did not.

The none gesture speaks much louder than words.

In Saudi Arabia the greeting custom for men is to shake hands. Good friends usually shake and a then kiss on each cheek, up to 3 times. It's also customary to hold the handshake for a short period ( say 10 seconds)

Women generally hug and kiss close (female) friends and within business will normally shake hands or place hands on hearts.

Bowing is not necessary - in Japan however, it's a different story altogether.

I'm sure Trumps business experience will help regarding such protocols and customs.

Yes one shows respect. The other doesn't think he needs to.
The obvious difference is class.

The story is about O and Trump.

And the different way they handle themselves. The previous 4 presidents are douches.

Obama took a tradition and bent over frontwards (literally) so as not to offend. Or kid gloves if you will. Silly in a world filled with cut throat (literally) leaders.

Yeah it's nice to finally see a President on the platform showing a little class isn't it. I mean, since JFK that is.
