As much as I hate to admit this, CNN might have finally published a *cough* accurate *cough* story. Not that I place any faith in CNNs sources, but taken in context with actual events, this one doesn't slam the BS meter needle.

Putin was obviously pulling for Trump to win, as evidenced by some of his statements at the end of the election and up through Inauguration Day. I had attributed that to his extreme dislike of Hillary, but the dynamic changed shortly after Trump was sworn in. Russia seemed again very easy to take offense at US actions, openly threatening the US after the Syrian bombing.

Flynn was dismissed shortly after Trump was sworn in.

We have several officials on record saying Flynn was compromised with respect to Russia, and we have evidence that he was in regular contact with Russian operatives. It is also not unusual for a foreign power seeking to affect doctrine to use 'moles' as a means to input their desires into government decision-making. So there is some evidence to *cough* back *hack* up *cough* CNN this time.

I guess the old saying is right: a stopped clock is right twice a day.
