Trump’s 1,000-strong entourage for Israel trip

US President Donald Trump is expected to have an entourage 1,000 strong when he visits Israel, Yedioth Ahronoth has reported. Trump’s first overseas trip as president will take place later this month, when he will go to Saudi Arabia before heading for Israel. Unlike his predecessor, he will not go to Egypt.

Part of this will be family (I assume his sons but maybe Ivanka)

This time he's not staying at a Trump owned property -- I expect that his next international gaffe will be about how much better his hotels are.

Or one of his next gaffes. This comes on the heels of an announcement that Donald Trump Jr is now accepting a speaking fee of over $120,000 to speak at foreign events... and the question of bought influence is being raised.

So now we're out for all of The Donald's golfing trips ((8 weeks out of 18) plus his wife and kid staying in New York... and now a thousand person entourage.

I'd like to buy a less expensive President, Alex.

Maybe if you did some research you would know foreign visits by Presidents often include 1000 +/- person entourages.

This is nothing new, let alone newsworthy / thread worthy. also the numbers also include security details. Obamas visit to Australia included 200 secret service agents. I can only imagine the number of agents taken when visiting this part of the world.

Thanks i knew something was up after reading the OP. This is the president of the United States of course he is not traveling by himself and 5 SS agents. Who the f#ck even cares how many people travel with him? Germans would laugh at me if i question Merkel for traveling with loads of people. This is just lunacy.

An "entourage" of 1000 persons I can see easily. Especially; given a normal, one trip domestic entourage is about 500+.

Does not take much to assign and use up those slots given the number of places he is traveling inside a compressed time period.

Forget everything else - this is an impeachable offence. I have 3 sources confirm to me that his entourage is under investigation for having 3 Russian sleeper agents within its ranks. These unnamed sources are government officials.

I will have to check but I imagine all 1000 do not go at the same exact time. At least the security detail may come in small waves.

Traveling with the President (but not on the same plane) -

* - His staff
* - staff assistants
* - US Press corps assigned to cover the president
* - various people from various executive agencies, depending on the purpose of the trip (state department, DoD, treasury, commerce etc etc)
* - security detail
* - many more people for various reasons / trip specific / standard requirement.

a lot of people are required to get the job done. If Obama had 200 secret service agents for his trip to Australia I would imagine Trumps will be larger. Also remember he is visiting several countries on this trip, requiring even more people to advance each country.

Trump is set to sign several deals with saudi arabia so you will have people who were involved in that present.
