The daily onslaught of stories from the media always quoting unnamed sources, former officials familiar with the matter, officials speaking on a condition of anonymity, or whatever BS moniker they want to put to it, show no signs of letting up. These stories have one purpose and one purpose only. To manufacture a failed presidency.

This isn't about them being apposed to Trump on an ideological level. They couldn't care less whether something he does is helping the country or not. This is about him not being one of them. One does not simply become president of the United States without their approval. Without following their rules or running a campaign the way they have set it. You must be part of the club if you want fair treatment in their world. His election was not supposed to happen and despite their best efforts he won. Did you really think they would take this lying down? I know a lot of us were hopeful that after the inauguration things might get back to normal. That was naive. They have doubled down on their pre-election style of coverage and will not stop anytime soon.

This is about sending a message to us and everyone else who thinks they can become president and not be from this established club. They will do everything in their power to bring down this administration. 20 years from now when you do a google search of Trump, you will see nothing but story after story of these fake manufactured scandals. It doesn't matter that there is no evidence for ANY of the BS they write about him. There are thousand upon thousands of "news" articles saying these things are true. So THAT is how this presidency will be defined. Failure.

Don't ever try to elect someone from outside of our political bubble ever again you peasants. We tried to warn you! Now look at what you have done to this country!

I have pointed out the hypocrisy of their reporting in other threads. Do you think they do not know what they are doing? They know damn well. The goal is to bring it all down. No matter the damage that is done in the process. Remember, the ends justify the means. Let this be a lesson to anyone else who thinks they can come from outside of the establishment and become leader of the free world. We will destroy you! By fact or by fiction. We will bog you down with unsubstantiated manufactured rumors and scandals to the point that governing is impossible. We will turn all of your allies against you. We will bring down anyone who stands in our way. We will have investigations started in every way possible to further feed our illusion of a failed presidency.

We will run fake stories about you giving out classified info, but when our guy does it we will applaud the move and call it "enhanced information sharing". We will collude with Russians in the 1984 election and then use the same angle against you as our single biggest propaganda campaign to bring you down. We will call for the firing of FBI director James Comey en mass but be furious about it when you do it. When our guy is running for President we will leave 30+ years of his history as unknown, but we will leave no stone un-turned to smear and invalidate you.

When any of these stories are proven false DO NOT expect an apology or for the reports to be updated to reflect the truth. They will move on to the next drummed up garbage that they can think of. They will write ambiguous tales that cant be proven real or fake.

To my friends on the left, take a step out of the bubble they have created for you. They have to keep you engaged and angry. These stories are not only meant to keep Trump demoralized but to keep YOU angry, in the streets, on the forums, around the dinner tables spreading their garbage, donating to their causes. I understand you all are opposed to Trumps agenda on an ideological level. There is nothing wrong with that. But can't you win the argument (elections) based on the merits of your ideals rather than this libelous misinformation?

If and when proof is ever produced I will admit I was wrong. But if and when nothing comes of any of this crap and Trump finishes out his presidency will you?

So let them continue to try to manufacture a failed presidency. I don't think the majority of Americans are watching this daily media soap opera melt down. There is a reason Americans trust in the media is on a steady decline. This nonsense will only add to their demise.

At this point, for me, it is simply a question of has this been the plan the whole time?

Trumps ego would like to believe he is in office because he is smart/strong. All the better for those who really run the world. Now they can attempt to rip apart the country, sacrifice trump and be there to pick up the pieces.

Trump cannot possibly be clueless of these agendas could he? Is he on board with it? Is he opposed? I don't know.

I do know he is being used, unwittingly or not, as a wedge to divide/conquer. It is brilliant I must say from a tactical view. Playing both sides against the middle. While most are arguing about democrats/republicans.

I would venture to say everything happening is bigger than U.S politics. It's a world wide thing in which the U.S. will play a part.

There will be no, as in zero, recover from this with several current generations anyway. And the role playing is really to the point where one can say "could have been an actor but wound up here". Used car salesmen and money preachers step aside.

Hopefully we have a new generation of tweens that will grow up to never trust the MSM. I base this on the youtube kid that mouthed "fake news" behind CNN reporter at White House Easter egg hunt. I like to think he's now teasing an older sibling that just got home from college, "Ooh the Russians are coming better go to your safespace."

The only thing really wrong with Trumps ego is that he got it the old fashioned way.....he earned it. Unlike politicians, news men and women and college professors who got theirs from blowing smoke up each other asses.

A lot of Trumps troubles are bought on by himself. Hard to feel sorry for him.

I laughed so hard when he said he'd been treated worse than any other politician. LOL Did he forget Obama?

Personally, I suspect that is, at least to some degree, true. I can't be convinced otherwise.

I have spent the better part of the last 25 years keeping up with the political comings and goings. One thing is blatantly clear to me. The elite, politically and socially, have nothing but contempt for the "peasant." Yet, guess who it is that makes their system operate.

I remember a few years ago everyone was in a tizzy about the government "shut down." Guess what I kept saying... Shut it down. It doesn't mean #.

Guess why it doesn't mean #. Simple. The elite don't operate anything. The "peasants" do. Guess what happened when the government "shut down." Not a damned thing because everything ran just as it always had. Why? The "peasant."

Point is, the elite can have all of the disdain, contempt and abhorrence they want to have for the "peasant," they can't escape reality.

It has nothing to do with the fact that Donald Trump is big-mouthed clown who can't stop saying stupid, contradictory things, lying, patting himself on the back, talking about the election, saying flattering things about tyrants and is ineptly running a s#show of an administration chock full of assholes whose only qualifications are loyalty to "The Donald" despite the fact that they leak constantly?

Couldn't have anything to do with the Russian hacking, Flynn lying, the right hand American bitchboy of Putin's former Ukranian proxy being campaign manager, the foreign policy advisor who is known to have been the target of SVR recruitment, taking a trip to Moscow mid-campaign to heap praise on the Kremlin and reportedly meet with sanctioned officials.

And it surely has nothing to do with Flynn lying repeatedly about his communications with Kislyak, his Kremlin-paid RT speaking engagement where he was seated with Putin (for propaganda purposes surely) or his failure to register as a foreign agent while in fact taking large sums of money from the Turkish government through a business front?

It couldn't have anything to do with the incomprehensible reluctance to can Flynn even though Trump knew for weeks that Flynn lied to the administration, causing the Vice President to lie to the American people.

I could go on? How about the Nunes shenanigans. How about firing Comey and telling Lester Holt that he was thinking about the investigation he wanted killed when he did it?

It's not that Donald Trump is an "outsider" — he's no "peasant" to reference another poster — he's the corrupt, privately educated son of a corrupt, government subsidized slumlord father who was also born wealthy, the son of a man who made his fortune in restaurants servicing gold rush miners. Hell, he even shares great-great-grandparents IIRC with the founder of Heinz. He may not have held any elected offices but he's been dumping money into politics, rubbing elbows with politicians, bribing politicians, moving in the same circles as politicians, since before I was even born.

He's a billionaire rich boy Wharton school graduate, politician bribing, outsider who just happend to call Bill Clinton two weeks before he announced his campaign for President? Do lots of outsiders call Bill Clinton for advice?

Come on, you're way too smart for this. You're fooling yourself because you want to believe. Donald Trump is not an outsider. He's an insider that also happens to be a douche bag with a big mouth and a lot of friends who have Kremlin connections. He's not the blue collar messiah you want him to be. Hell, "drain the swamp" was a slogan somebody else came up with and told him to say.

He needs to stop yammering and act presidential. Focus on doing the work of the people and let the investigation take its course. I will add one last thing. Based on his awkward comment today about only being able to speak for himself, I have to wonder if that isn't suggestive of a fear of Trump's that one or more of his associates was in fact colluding with Russia without his knowledge?

Agreed. It's funny to see. If Obama would have done have the stuff Trump has done he'd be impeached by now. LOL

I always laugh when people have the political blinders on. They only see things one sided. It's okay if their candidate does something but heaven forbid if it's the opposing candidate. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Are all of these people so brainwashed that they can't see the truth?

If the OP is right then what we have to investigate is why are they still trying to upend Trump when he is submitting to them as of now.

He has fired Flynn, bombed Syria( in which they wanted to medal him)and finally started to denounce Russia.

What do they want? Trump is playing ball now, then why are they still bothering him?

Keep in mind this is a legitimate tabloid political scandal, just like they did( probably worst) with Bill Clintons scandals. This is what the American press does to politicians inside scandals.

So don't buy into Trump tantrums. He's not unique

I've never claimed Trump was a blue collar messiah or the perfect person to be president. He absolutely says stupid # sometimes. Don't you find it funny that for years and years he's been asked his political opinion on things and never once was called racist, homophobic, xenophobic, puppet, clown, until he ran for office? He used to be a guest that these people sought to have on their shows. It wasn't until he was running against their preferred candidate that he became a POS.

He is absolutely correct in calling the media out for their completely biased and fake reporting on him. I hate to bring up Obama because whenever you try to compare, people just call it deflection but if you look at how that man was treated by the press it's on a whole other level. They LOVED him, fawned over him, praised him at every opportunity, Chris Mathews got a thrill up his leg for gods sake.

Anyone who claims that the reporting by the Washington Post or CNN (the MSM as a whole really) has journalistic integrity is lying to themselves. Don't get me wrong I don't want the Obama treatment from the media, but it would be nice if they dealt in facts and not BS speculation and hit piece after hit piece trying to paint a picture that fits their false narrative.

As far as calling Bill Clinton, no matter what you think of that man, he is an excellent politician. People love him even after all of his # over the years. I could see why someone would want to talk to him. I wouldn't but like you said he's a billionaire rich boy that has rubbed elbows with these people his whole life. It wasn't until he tried to play in their world that he became a pariah. He was ok as long as he was on the outside sending them campaign checks right?

Russian hacking blah, blah, blah. Like was said at the hearing, it isn't anything new. Did it effect the election? Nope. You're asking us to believe that the Russians were able to outsmart everyday Americans and make them vote against Hilary Clinton because why? It was the Russians that forced her to have a private email server? It was the Russians that cheated Bernie Sanders? It was the Russians that made Hillary do all of the crap over the years that made her a horrible candidate?

The fact of the matter is that Trump when a businessman couldn’t or wouldn’t have lasted if he exhibited the racist tendencies he did in the campaign.

He owned too many public business to offend minorities then: Resort Hotels, Atlantic City Casinos and Hotels, boxing arenas, ran the beauty pageant, and its only lately since Obama has Trump began to court the racialist vote

When he ran as president, he decided to court that Alt-right-wing racialist vote ardently

In fact, years ago Trump was very liberal on issues

I regret sound thinking people buy into the --Trump is being singled out -- because he’s out of the mainstream falsehood he perpetuates...

That’s what bugs me. That is a ridiculous premise. Trump used the outsider rhetoric masterfully to deceive many people. He merely exploited them and they are still like fish in a barrel biting his rhetorical bait.

In lieu of his billionaire cabinet. Awful actions you so succinctly listed and his overall persona of ignorance and unsophisticated buffoonery, people still think he is just a charming innocent.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Trump is an unsophisticated dunce. An ignorant man intellectually, morally, and psychologically unfit to be president.

However, what makes Trump really bad is that he refuses to learn!

That’s the hallmark of a dangerous human being: lack of humility, unwilling to learn, won’t self-examine himself, or even apologize when he is wrong.

His lack of sophistication, general ignorance of history--just all together ignorance--will in the end damage this country.

In fact, he may already have

Trump doesn’t realize the intelligence agencies around the world have him sized up as an emotional child, and all one has to do, as Putin cynically did, is to flatter him and he will love you and lose objectivity.

Good OP Faux... F&S. Add to this mess one of the
most recent wrinkles in the more-obvious-every-
day witch hunt, that just jogged my timeline.

Rob Mueller was running the FBI on 9/11.
He also got picked by an obvious PTB'er as the
Special Counsel/Torquemada for the Trump Trim.
It was also widely sprayed that the former Director's
appointment was considered to keep politics out.
And I'm the Sheen of Queeba logging off.
