We need to understand that the way things are going right now, the NYT and the WP are dominating the news media like they are the only ones to be trusted with nothing but leaks of unnamed sources.

That is call gossip tabloid not worthy news media.

Woodward and Bernstein worked with an anonymous source to expose Nixon's criminal activity.

That anonymous source was later revealed to be the Deputy Director of the FBI.

The paper Woodward and Bernstein worked for was the Washington Post.

(The above are simple facts...Not opinions)

You seem angry indigo, but at the end hopefully the truth will come forward, my hopes are high.

I think I got enough of the lies, bias and unnamed sources leaks from tabloids, sorry but that is what NYT and WP are tabloids, the term alternative news is just a way to make them seem more legit, but they are nothing but tabloids.

No, Deep Throat is nothing like we have right now, no even and inch, to even compare the circus we have with unnamed sources leaks coming from tabloids is to do a disservice to him.

The NYT's and Washington Post explain their sources as Current Officials..WH or FBI..and multiple.

They are not tabloids and papers and journalists do not risk ending their career by conspiring with editors to invent sources.

They stake their credibility on it, the papers credibility on it and cite multiple sources verifying one another..

If they are lied to by multiple FBI, WH staff in some concerted effort to propagate the same lie...then that is what happens..

WaPo's "anonymous sources" led to the resignation of Michael Flynn...And they have forced the WH to admit multiple things.

I am not seeing "Tabloid" "Gossip"...I am seeing the same Newspaper that exposed Nixon exposing the Trump Administration.

Good to see the NYTs getting some too.

It is what a free press is for.

Opinion and not fact.

The Deputy Director of the FBI that leaked to WaPo on Watergate (aka Deepthroat) ended up doing it because he was passed up for promotion.

Otherwise..he was "butthurt"..

It made the reporting no less vital to the nation.

You missed the most important fact.
WaPo from the early 1970's is nothing like WaPo in 2017.
Claiming some form of authority on breaking scandals because of something that happened nearly 50 years ago is just a tad spurious.

WaPo is now a comic. It's for liberals who like to play with themselves whilst fantasising about a world in which they actually win something.

Last week they claimed that the deputy AG threatened to resign - he issued a statement to debunk them. They also said Comey was refused more resource for the Russia investigation - another debunked load of rubbish. They have gone on to be embarrassed again by their nonsense story about Trump's meeting with the Russian delegation.

Weren't they also the laughing stock that thought the Russians were about to bring the entire power grid down because some guy got a computer virus on his pc from watching too much porn?

Real high quality stuff.

And on top of that, it is owned by Jeff Bezos. If you don't think THAT taints the way they report, you are still living in the '70's!

(Did I ever mention that Jeff Bezos owns the company that has the contract to service the cloud system for the CIA and OTHER intelligence agencies?)

Lol...oh yeah...sure..WaPo has the same credibility now..hahaha!!

Now that the Democrats got what they wanted, somebody specially appointed to do their witch hunt, I guess we will have to wait to see what Mueller will find, he have more reliability that Comey ever did.

And whatever they find it will have to be taken as fact.

The tabloids leaks will become nothing but sensationalized leaked news and if is not from Mueller inquiry I will dismiss the tabloids news.

That will be my stance from now on.

That may have been true before, BUUUUT
Erickson: White House Leakers Are Trying to Get Trump's Attention

Conservative writer Erick Erickson said he knows one of the sources of leaked information that has been damaging to President Trump.

Erickson said this person is a Trump supporter who is frustrated with the president for not taking prudent advice from his colleagues.

"[This is] not intentional sabotage," Erickson said of recent leaks. "People inside the White House are trying to get Trump's attention."

You guys really need to wake the hell up.

Why do you think the leakers are going to be in trouble? The FBI wasn't investigating them before and it isn't likely they are about to start now.

Conversations between Flynn and Kislyak accelerated after the Nov. 8 vote as the two discussed establishing a back channel for communication between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin that could bypass the U.S. national security bureaucracy, which both sides considered hostile to improved relations, four current U.S. officials said.

Very interesting read.

Well Mueller just appointed a special counsel where those that will be call to testified or been interrogated can do so without having to face backlash for what they want to talk about, behind close doors as I understand

So this will not be open to the public and they will not be game for the congress.

Mueller is a smart man.

WaPo from the early 1970's is nothing like WaPo in 2017.

..
WaPo is now a comic.

Opinion posing as "fact".

Last week they claimed that the deputy AG threatened to resign - he issued a statement to debunk them.

He mumbled something that sounded like "no" while walking in a hallway.
Please link me to the "issued statement" he released?
I believe you made that up?

The Trump Friendly WSJ reported the same news along with several other outlets..
Let me check ..

Mr. Rosenstein left the impression that he couldn’t work in an environment where facts weren’t accurately reported, the person said. The deputy attorney general objected to statements by White House aides citing Mr. Rosenstein’s critical assessment of Mr.Comey’s job performance to justify the firing.

WSJ LINK

Are you also suggesting the conservative and trump Friendly WSJ is a "comic" "for liberals"?

They also said Comey was refused more resource for the Russia investigation - another debunked load of rubbish.

CNN, The NYTs, Associated Press, LA Times and others independently verified that story?

Yes a DOJ "Spokesperson" called the story "False" but..but this administrations PR folks are not credible.

Meanwhile

A congressional source with knowledge of the matter said Comey told lawmakers within the past few days he had asked the Justice Department to make additional resources available - mainly more staffing - for the Russia probe.

Comey informed lawmakers of that request after the Senate Intelligence Committee, conducting its own investigation, had asked the FBI to speed up its Russia inquiry, the source said.

Dianne Feinstein, the Senate Judiciary Committee's top Democrat, told reporters she understood Comey was seeking more resources for the FBI investigation.

www.reuters.com...

Either way...the DOJ Inspector general has been asked by Congress to investigate the Comey firing, so no doubt the truth will come out.
