whats a landline? Internet by (TV or Telephone) cable? I know of wireless internet, the decoder (modem) receives internet by radio waves, can put it through by ethernet cable or local WIFI, have not heard from it again, is a couple of years ago, maybe they do not do that anymore in my country.

secret services in Europe could not tap wires only waves by law (officially) they wanted that law changed, have not heard from it again, maybe the changing of that law and the implementation is still in progress

With IT the use of the TLA (Three Letter Acronyms) is pretty much normal, theres all sorts of them that depending on what platforms you use can mean all sorts of things and can make for some very weird conversations when people will start using terms and they mean totally the opposite to what each other thinks it does.

RSA for an example is a security company but also meant Remote Session Access on certain mainframes, RPG is a programming language or roleplaying games, sure you get the idea.

Networks Security Access would be my main guess and having a master key would allow should there be a need there can be a way inside as at the time most systems were not available on the net so not much chance for the NSA spooks to easily get their talons inside places.

It contains an Encryption Key, that is all that it contains - It is not a tool or a backdoor, it is a Encryption Key that Microsoft requires to have by US Law because of Specific Export laws, how is it a conspiracy? Microsoft named it that and put it in the system folder for anyone to find and dissect if they want, it is not hidden or even required to be on your computer for it to function (your computer).

I have taken apart nearly piece of the NT and 9x OS's including the Betas Chicago, Memphis, Whistler, Longhorn etc to find little hidden gems throughout that Microsoft hadn't finished or included in the full RTM, and to make customs editions of Windows and to see if I could install the latest on a ye old 486 - Which by the way you can install Windows Vista, 7, and 8 on a 20 year old 486.

Also are you aware that the full source code for Windows NT 4.0 and most of Windows 2000 was leaked many years ago? You can go find a copy of the source code on sites where you get "free" movies from, and no one has found any thing suspicious in it, in fact they said that the coding was very quite well done and I can contest to that.

Forgot to mention that people do have access to the full source code of windows additions, it requires an NDA and to be a specific job function, however it is available.

I have been doing this a long while, you could also call me a "hacker" because of my knowledge and skill level and former job function, but I don't do anything of the type - you could be called a hacker for opening a system file up in a hex editor and changing the name of "Notepad" to "Galienpad".

I remember reading about it, and likely my reaction was "Huh...eh...yeah" with an eye roll.

With the amount of coders Microsoft have had over those years with many more going through the code and auditing it, adding, modifying and removal from it, and that they use the same basic code from edition to edition - it doesn't surprise me for something like that to have slipped through.

Ive never paid for any of my windows installations and with that you can bypass allot of crazy things tgey do.

In the old days Microsoft used to encrypt the os with porn. Gotta love em.
