Trump asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn: report

President Trump pressured then-FBI director James Comey to pull the plug on the feds’ probe into ex-national security adviser Mike Flynn during an Oval Office sitdown in February, a new report said Tuesday.

How is this any different then Bill pressuring Lorreta Lynch to pull the plug on the feds probe into Hillary's Email Server forcing Comey to go public with his findings since she did not recuse herself at all?

Because each political party only cares about an issue if it effects them directly or gives them an advantage.

Both republicans and democrats engage in this hypocrisy over and over and people keep voting for the two parties over and over and people keep complaining about what the other side is doing over and over .

They have found 0 evidence to link Trump to Russia so now there falling back on that old story about Flynn. I knew it was only a matter of time before they had to start making evidence up. Because everyone knows Dems blame Comey for the Election and now that he is gone its a cover up. Democrats in Blind Hatred have just become Sad.

And notice how they haven't been able to keep there Conspiracy straight? Every week its a different reason for why Trump fired Comey. Last week it was because Comey was close to the smoking gun of Russian Collusion. This week its Trump asked Comey to end the investigation hahah.

Actually Obstruction of Justice is usually what gets officials in trouble rather than whatever action they did to begin with that first brought attention to them.

It's usually either something minor or something that may not even be illegal in and of itself. But it's usually something embarrassing or something that shady that they don't want the people to know about so they try and cover it up.

That involves lying of course and trying to wiggle out of something they did and it's easy to let those lies and cover ups take over until you're in trouble for Obstruction over something that originally wasn't that big of a deal.

Like they say, one lie leads to another and another and pretty soon you're caught in your own web of lies. That's just how it goes. Always better to tell the truth from the beginning.

The president reserves the right to terminate any investigation deemed unnecessary in order to save funds. If the Flynn investigation was not unnecessary, Trump has a right to terminate it. Keep in mind, Trump is the head of the exec branch. No one else is.

First of all, this is a memo from comey to someone else, not from trump to comey. How do we know he was not setting all of this up already back then, putting up a layer of protection which could be fake. Trump just asked him to make it go away with Flynn, that could mean he wanted Flynn offed too I suppose I started a new rumor now.

The Democratic lunatic fringe must be REALLY scared about this Seth Rich report.

Obstruction to justice is only valid if a valid investigation was going on and the president terminated it. FBI already cleared Flynn. They had Flynn's recording. Flynn made no wrongdoing. If every investigation is still going on, without the unnecessary ones terminated, FBI would be working on millions of cases. Who's going to fund millions of investigations? Think about it.

I'm not sure, Obama said at the time that Hillary is the most qualified human in existence to run the oval office and everyone should vote for her. Hillary operates on the basis that the law exists: (a) to be obstructed and (b) is for the little people.

I agree with you but something seems different this time.

You have all of the left, and many establishment right never trumpers that are attacking Trump. The deep state leaks that are coming out are unprecedented.

This coming together of both sides of the establishment could mean one of two things to me.

1. The establishment are good people, and they know Trump is a threat to the country so they want him out.

2. The establishment are corrupt, and they want to get Trump out because he is not one of them.

I tend to go with number 2. And if thats true, it should worry all of us that would like a third party or more, because it shows the extent the establishment is willing to go to keep power.
