Yes and no. You are right about the purposes of each branch, but are wrong about them existing to keep the Presidency in check. That is also true. Well kinda. It's true that each branch of government exists to keep a check on the other branches (it's not just the Presidency that is being checked). That is the additional purpose of the branches and is known as Checks and Balances.

Do you really think he's doing his job? And if he's not doing it to your satisfaction, who's fault do you think it is?
The Democrats? The media? Or an immature man who is so egocentric he can't take his mind off himself?

ALL Presidents are criticized when they get in office. It's the damned thing I've ever seen. We elect them and immediately start trying to destroy them. But in this case, Trump has only himself to blame. It's one mistake after another.

I think he is trying to do the job the best he can with all the bureaucracy involved.
I think he is a guy that in the business sector, he got things done at a pace that suited him because he was in charge of his company and what he says goes.
Now that he is president, the pace is much slower for getting things done because of all the red tape involved.
He is finding out that when he wants something done, it has to go through many channels to get done.
For instance, when the Leftists and Leftists sympathizers are crying that "OMG this man has the nuclear codes", you just don't get it....he has an entire group of people that has to help him make that happen. It's not gonna be him getting up in the middle of the night and pushing a button by himself. It's ridiculous to assume something like that and the people that think that are not very intelligent.

According to you, what mistakes has he made?
Every president will make mistakes in the eyes of people that didn't vote for them or that don't like them.
Obama made plenty of mistakes but I didn't call for his impeachment for any of them.

Riddle me this, if us here on ATS know the president can't rule by decree and he has to go through a lot of channels to get stuff done, why didn't Trump know that as a candidate?

It seems it would be the most obvious part for someone wanting the job of president.

It's not the first time there is conflict between the head of state and the parliament.

Then why would he be surprised at the way things are working out?

Reeks? Maybe. There's another possibility on the Comey firing that I put in the new thread on Trump. Let me know what you think of it.

Which is? It's hard to keep up with threads about Trump these days.

I never said I thought he was surprised.
He might be frustrated that he can't get things done faster but in time, I am sure he will get used to being stonewalled.

I give it 50/50 odds at this point. Depends on if the Dems can take the House in 2018. Right now it's looking good that that will happen too, but there is a lot of time between Nov 2018 and now so you never know.

I don't know, KrazyshOt....Trump and the republicans got a hell of a lot of votes in 2016, I'm hesitant to say that will change in 2018. you're giving a lot of credit to those people, to change their minds (as are democrats). I don't think it will be a slam dunk by any means.

Again. I'm saying it's looking good. I'm not saying its a slam dunk or anything. Do keep in mind that the very first thing I said was that I give it 50/50 odds. But with the way Republicans are being battered at Town Halls by irate voters, the Democrats have a grand opportunity to seize on this momentum to carry them into 2018. Now what remains to be seen is if the Dems' leadership can get its act together and actually follow through on that. Plus there is still the ever present wild card of Donald Trump. He may stumble ass backwards into success six months from now and be more popular than ever, dooming any chances of a Democrat comeback. So I'm not calling anything.

but darn don't let the liberal media tell you that, because Trump is not the president of the US, Hillary is.

Literally zero liberal media outlets are making that claim. Way to lie about the left. Only the right is still obsessed with Hillary for some reason.

Lie about the left? Their whole foundation is based off lies, and or fake news. I see they've deceived you into believing the bullsh*t as well. Good luck with that.

Ok big man you keep left of center, it's a good place for people who regurgitate CNN headlines and think they're letting us all know "the real scoop". The left was and still is obsessed with Hillary, only now it's obsessing over her loss and how can we get Trump impeached. The left's agenda is transparent and pathetic at best. Your an American, how about you actually support your country and it's institutions instead of continually trying to undermine and tear them down? If the lefties hate it so bad here then just leave.

Ann Coulter. Who cares. She desperately needs ritalin and something to calm her down so she can have the time to think before she opens her big mouth.

The same thing could be said of the President himself while he tweets at 4:30 in the morning.

I don't know what she expected.

I am honestly not surprised that this is where we are. As soon as Trump ran into things that had to be legislated, I knew this is what would happen. Expecting a split party to rally around you because of party loyalty is pretending that Republicans actually want to win unless the Establishment had it their way.

This is how they punish us for not returning "their" kind of candidate. They sit on their thumbs and refuse to cooperate just enough to make sure nothing gets done. They might as well be Democrats right now. They have no intention of working against the big money handlers and you will note how very few of them were for Trump.

There is no profit in working for the electorate at any level, and progs would be served to remember that.
