flat earth?...say what

anyone here believe in this theory?

ive never given it much more than a smirk because i mean come on???

im getting ready to watch the newest joe rogan podcast with a flat earther....should be interesting.
this thread and that podcast will mark the start of my reading into this theory.

i usually dont like to just dismiss things right off the bat without digging in a little bit but i admit this is one theory that i have just dismissed. im going to do a little reading on it after i watch this podcast but i really dont see my mind changing on this.

have you any thoughts?

any places i should start on either side of the argument?

I always thought and still think the flat earthers are really parodying science, an inside joke and everyone who argues with them are just showing how ridiculous they are by arguing against a flat earth
Like how silly do you have to be to argue that the earth is round, of course it is, but you are arguing for it

Anyway, they do have a few good arguments and some logic, evidence that validates their beliefs
Having some evidence isn't proof.

Become a flat earther and see how irrational those who argue a round earth become, almost rabid because they can't make you believe.

One must conclude some people like pushing a good hoax to see who will jump on the bandwagon? I bet there are more con artists than flat earths? Or Bigfeets for that matter?

If flat earth theory is true:

One, I would think you could see the Appalachian Mountains from the Rocky Mountains.

Two, I would think you could get Ohio FM radio stations in Oklahoma.

Seriously? Go to the search engine, type in "flat earth" and you get pages and pages of hits. I know this search engine has its critics, but finding threads on flat earth here is a no-brainer. Takes ten seconds.

seems like the earth being flat would be like super easy to prove

so far on the podcast i guess flat earthers believe you cant fly over antartica AND there is a big ass wall of ice surrounding some/most of the earth...

Head over to the LoL forum, there are plenty of recent flat earth threads.

If the Earth were "flat" -- and the flatties never tell you just how "flat", you would be almost weightless. There would be very little gravity at any given point because the mass of the planet would be displaced into a giant Frisbee.

This is one of those topics that should immediately go into the HOAX bin, IMHO...

Must be that everyone who's circumnavigated the world hit a wormhole that magically made it seem seamless. I mean how can one explain being able to circumnavigate the globe and arrive back where they started without a round earth. I think hollow Earth has more merit than flat earth...But both kind of lack scientific evidence to prove any of it.

YouTube flatards. Those videos do a good job. Flat earth is very laughable. Flat earthers seem to use middle earth physics or something. Also try to deceive by using diferent heights and camera angles to displace the ship sailing over the horizon or not being able to see the bottom of a oil rig.

Many reasons the earth is round and yes flat earthers seem to be a form of troll theory.

Hi.

I didn't know the flat earth was still believed let alone debated.

If I'm completely honest with myself, which I am, I haven't left the earth to see with my own eyes if it flat or round. it doesn't bother me either way but I can honestly say that I don't know. I can only make a judgement upon which others say or by images.

Seeing as there is an overwhelming amount of false information being spread around the world, I don't trust anything I see or hear on the media or internet etc.
