Well, he's lost his mind. I'm pretty sure they could prosecute this if they want to. You don't just go out and petition foreign governments to help you overthrow the president because you don't like him. This is so far beyond the pale it's disgusting.

To all of them, and to the world's journalists, I make this plea: We the citizens of the United States of America are the victims of a coup. We need your leaks, your information, your intelligence, your recordings, your videos, your conscience. The civilian government and the military of the United States are no longer in the hands of the people, nor in the control of any responsible individuals on whom you can rely....

Please remember that these liberals have very delicate sensibilities...

They are still triggered by their infallible queen losing the election...

Give them the room to have a good cry...maybe pet a puppy...

Poor liberals are so sensitive...

Notwithstanding he is a sportscaster so has about as much credibility as an actor when it comes to politics...

Progressives are weak minded, effete, pacifists who long to be ruled by a king or dictator...

Just sit back and enjoy their whining for the next 8 years....it's hysterical...

So it was fine when Trump did it prior to being elected, but now that he's in office it's not ok for someone else to do it?

Treason or Sedition!

Take your pick!

He might as well work for Communist China as far as I am concerned...

Uh...
this:

“I will tell you this, Russia: If you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” the Republican nominee said at a news conference in Florida. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

is a far cry from this:

To all of them, and to the world's journalists, I make this plea: We the citizens of the United States of America are the victims of a coup. We need your leaks, your information, your intelligence, your recordings, your videos, your conscience.

Not only was Trump's comment more flippant, but it was also not directed at a standing member of the US government. Hillary Rodham Clinton, when Trump made his comment, was NOTHING except for a candidate for POTUS. She was an everyday citizen, not an elected representative of the People.

Doesn't matter. Both cases are citizens of the US asking outside governments to meddle in the political affairs of the United States. If it was ok for Trump when he did it, it's ok now.

Except Trump didn't ask Russia to do anything, he said he "hoped" they'd find stuff. By your ascertation, telling someone "I hope you choke on it" is a death threat.

Right. It's cool when Trump asks Russia and Wikileaks to leak info but when Keith does it he's a criminal. Got it. More double standards from the Right Wing Radicals.

BTW, I'm glad you think of Liberals and Progressives as weak minded pacifists. Nothing works better in their favor than you seeing them as weak and yourself as strong. That will be your downfall. Keep underestimating them. Go back to sleep, nothing to worry about pal. You're a tough guy so you have nothing to worry about here.

Yes is laws that take care of people like this in the US, but the last 8 years is a lot of laws in our books that has become forgotten.

I wonder what will happen when the laws became in use again, I can only see the same media bias calling it a dictatorship enforcement, racism, bigotry and I am sure a few more terms that they will concoct on site.

Been stupid can get you in jail, but some have forgotten about that.

Trump is trying to rule by Executive Order and intimidation.

He's just as much a tyrant as any who have gone before him if not moreso.

The depths of blatant hypocrisy on display here are simply profound.
