It wasn't advertized as such on the menu, but the place I was working at, some guy said 'Let's go get some wop jobs for lunch'.

I can only imagine what he called soul food or stir fried rice.

Can't say, as we didn't eat either of those.
I didn't pick the place that I was working at, it was assigned to me.

I'm assuming you mean the sub makers at these chain store sub shops?

Quiznos. ..you're right.
Tubbys. ..not bad
Jimmy Johns.. pretty good always
Subway. ..believe it or not..those makers are always really good

Jersey Mike's and Just Subs beats Subway by a few hundred miles.

And the Woodbridge Deli. The Woodbridge Deli is super expensive. But I just don't understand why their food always tastes so good. They use lettuce cut extra thin where it's like grass.

when have tomato slices ever protected bread from getting soggy? they are the juiciest thing on the sandwich and when put on the bread makes it soggy. u want cheese or mayo to protect the bread from moisture.

Oh give over.

You cut the bread, you toast the exposed part of the bottom of the sandwich. You throw all the vegetables except the raw red onion out of a window, in the general direction of the nearest natural fiber wearing, wheat grass munching hippy type, and you put oh so many different meats and cheeses in the sandwich that you can feel your heart screaming at you to stop adding material. Then you grill the thing, then coat it in mayonnaise, before consuming it! You can keep your oil, your vinegar and all that wishy washy stuff, exchange it for more meats and cheeses!

WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO LEAVE PRETTY CORPSES!

Those you mentioned we don't have in Michigan I dont think..

Miami Subs (chain) was always made well no matter what state... And independents are usually pretty craft because they have to be competitive

I guess I wasn't too clear on the OP. I was really just commented on where oil & vinegar was added in the sequence and where.

I wasn't saying what sandwich is the "proper" sandwich.

But in regards to your post, I've never tasted grilled hippy before. You are a pretty tough guy to people who do not share your ideology. Mayonnaise is the secret you say.

Or you could eat it how Godzilla would: an actual submarine full of seamen. I said seamen. It sounds like something else but you won't want that on a sandwich.
