I've been watching horror movies on YouTube, and a lot of it is rubbish or old repeats.
However, for some better, newer movies they never mention the title.

And so it was that I stumbled on a movie (high quality) and it was about two brothers hunting deer.

Eventually some creature finds them and takes them.
However, what promises to be a good monster movie then goes in all kinds of strange directions, and it was all just psychological?

Anyone know the title of this movie.

In return I offer you A Dark Song.

A strangely satisfying occult thriller.

I really want to find the title of this movie.

It made no sense at the end, but it touched my nerve.

It's two brothers who get together after 15 years, and they go on a deer hunt.

Their deceased father comes between them continually.

But everything that movie builds up to eventually seems ruined for some symbolism and anti-climax.
Eventually you ask - why did I watch this?

But there's also something very good about it - great performances, and a few scares.

It was supposed to make some point - but I didn't catch it.

So I need the title to find peace, and read on Wikipedia what it was all about.

The creature lives in a cave made of stags' heads.

But yet it doesn't kill anyone.

Why not?

It's dripping with masculinity.
The father and son's relationships.
That's for sure.
The antlers and all ...
But it never becomes a monster movie.

For sure, that's the movie.

Thanks so much!

Any ideas what the point is?

I see it as a metaphor for when relatively young men have too much time on their hands, and they aren't conscripted into the army.

Too much time to bicker and fight albino antler-collecting creatures, who actually do nothing.
I think they both need to be whipped into shape.

Well that's the only meaning I could get from this movie.

A kind of loss of masculinity without standardized masculinity.

Was it something about the going through a fence, and seeing all sorts of things they wish they hadn't?? Seems like it could be that one...trying to recall the title.

If you viewed on Netflix, though, you can look it up. Log in on a computer, and go to whatever profile you viewed on, if you have more than one. From there, up on the right, click for the drop-down menu, and click "my account". There, scroll down to your profile, and you can select viewing activity, which should show all you have recently watched. I can scroll back a good ways, at least as far bask as 2015, so you should be able to locate it.

Ah, I see you said you viewed on YouTube. Different issue there!!

Oh, and then there was that movie about the dude who fell in love with a demon.

Most of it just just him and a magic circle, and the various demons who threaten or tempt him.
Didn't have a title either.

But flip, what movie.

Got the movie.

Devil In The Dark.

Although that dramatic title hardly describes proceedings.

It's more like finding your dick in the dark.

Oh deer!

That couple in Backcountry had more pluckiness than this movie.
Even the useless heterosexual male.
I mean who else gets eaten alive these days?

I was kinda expecting a monster bear, or something cool.
A gender reversal horror.

And then it's just - no, just no!

Really?
Why?
Lord who made this turkey and why?

The first part with the reconciling brothers and wife.
It should have stayed there.
It could have been a soap-opera for decades.
No need to ruin the good name of horror flicks with what transpires.

Despite the varying reviews - still no explanation.
www.imdb.com...

Is the viewer the "Devil In the Dark"?

We'd like something major to happen, but it doesn't.
Are we the devils?

The species of the creature is just harmless and misunderstood, and we're the monsters?
Is that the point?

So, give it a Scout badge, make it an honorary Park Ranger, and everyone's groovy.

I saw that one with the dude falling in love with the demon. I believe it was a play though, which is why it was focused mostly within the circle. There was a lot of talk from one demon keep saying he would consume his soul, and back and forth. I found it rather unique. Your talking about one thats a few years old right?

I think you're referring to The Hunt (2006).

That movie was BRILLIANT!

No comparison to this doo-doo.

Witty and moving in every way.

And more like a theater-piece - just one real scene.
I should have asked about that movie rather.
