There MUST be a counterpoint, there MUST be opposition as determined and solid as the threat, else wise it wins.

Interesting enough, I suspect any rise in Nazism is going to be for the exact same reason - people become determined to stand in opposition to a radical and dangerous left, especially one that starts branding everyone they don't like with the term Nazi (see every liberal-driven protest in the last 12 months) and then starts calling for the execution of everyone branded a Nazi.

Monsters creating monsters. Worse still, both sets of monsters believe they are ideologically correct and in defense of society from the opposing monsters who are ideologically wrong. At least evil men know they are being evil. The worst atrocities are the evils carried out by men who think they are doing the right thing.

I thoroughly applaud you taking a stance on a matter of importance, but I question whether you are seeing the woods for the trees.

You may question all you like.

However, what you have to understand is that the left shift that tracks its origins back to post war era, was absolutely necessary, and has been about the business of correcting a horrific imbalance in the world which existed for hundreds upon hundreds of years. Broken, top down economic and hierarchical structures which damaged populations and stole their money and their rights from them, was all we had before that.

I will not permit anyone advocating for a back step to victor, because the work of improving the lives of and extending full and equal rights to all sectors of the global community is not yet done, and until it has been done, and the balance tips the other way in a dangerous fashion (which we are centuries away from, if the obstructionist, regressive BS of the political far right is anything to go by) I will see the wood for the trees all too clearly. At present the church and the state are not properly separate (and I say that as a Christian, by the way), and this is going to be a worse problem under the governments that the US and the UK currently have, not a better one. At the moment the hardest working are the least rewarded. The poor are blamed for the excesses of the rich, the people for the excesses of the banks, and everyone except the governments of the UK and the US for the ills they inflict upon the world, even as we speak.

When, and ONLY when, these things are a distant, long distant memory, taught to school children as things to avoid, to vote against and militate against in every place they are to be found, will society have moved on to the point where there is ANY danger of a dangerous left slide. We are at least a century of progress and defeating of phobic paradigms away from that as of yet, so any argument made against continuing progressive policy that I am going to hear in my natural life time, is likely as not to be bogus as a thing could be. We have had centuries and centuries of rule by the most sociopathic people in society, the exploiters at the top of our food chain. We are many moons away from a position where the situation is significantly reversed, and until such a time comes, no merit carrying argument can be made against the anti-fascist position. Until we are totally free for at least a hundred years from the fascists every tiny machination, there will be a just cause to crush it where it is found.

You're missing the point. The extreme left ARE the facists, and they are pulling the more sane, sensible, centralist left into the abyss with them.

I completely accept that you want to do good, but what you are doing is actually supporting a particularly nasty form of evil.

Don't forget, for these people the enemy isn't "the right", it's anyone who isn't as left as them. That will include you, and eventually you will end up being labelled a Nazi and added to the death list. They even have a term for it: "useful idiot".

The extreme RIGHT are the fascists. The extreme left want rid of them all. I am all for that.

And it is not just that I WANT to do good, I simply do good. I do it all the time. I do it by challenging those who abuse people over their skin tone, their religion, and their sexuality. I do good by intervening in any racist abuse I witness. And for your information, my enemy is supremacist, racist and fascistic thinking, wherever it comes from, or whomever is doing it.

Furthermore, there is absolutely no way that anyone is ever going to come for me for not being left wing enough, because I am so fundamentally for the people, that anyone even questioning my solidarity would immediately have to self terminate in abject shame.

While the actions of people like Stalin and Mao should be called out for what they are, atrocities of the highest level, they are also not endemic of Communism as a philosophy. Nowhere in the Communist Manifesto does it state that leaders should execute millions of citizens.

On the other hand, Nazism is founded on the concept of racial superiority.

Under ideal conditions Communism is arguably the greatest form of government. Under ideal conditions Nazism still leads to genocide.

That's why a resurgence of Nazism should be considered a bigger threat. Benevolent Communism can exist. Benevolent Nazism cannot.

But since Ideal conditions have never and never will exist in reality you've made a rather moot argument.

The extreme right are not fascists id suggest doing some research. Fascists sit between communists and conservatives. This means they are left of conservatives and right of communists. So if you see them as far right than more likely than not your a communist. B the way the opisit of a fascist is an anarchist.

A german army soldier that tries to disguise himself as a Syrian refugee needs to pick a good disguise name, right?
Well how about David Benjamin? This sounds pretty much Syrian arab, obviously!

Now besides this funny name sounding as if the Germans want us to believe that this evil terrorist was a British triple agent, we also have more fun unbelievable stuff.
Usually EU governments are very quiet about what happens within military ranks, including incident and accident of various kind. Ammo misfiring, soldiers getting killed by friendly fire, grenades going off before they are supposed to, etc...
Why the hell would they make such a fuss about this "Terrorist triple agent infiltrate Syrian refugee with a poor name for an arab"?
The politicians, especially the Defense minister of EU countries have constantly covered up all kinds of #s that the armed forces do, either by accident, negligence or whatever else. Why would they attempt discredit the army right now? This smells of bad quality booze!

Are EU politicians trying to simply discredit the armed forces rather then changing them for real, with the purpose of enlisting immigrants in military ranks?

This post makes me angry. I am German and I know how it rolls there. I've been through the school system and the work system and lived there knowing us Germans deeply.
I cannot stand some american or whatever you are, who has never been to a country and just reads stuff from one side and then makes inane comments.

First of all, where is the word 'extreme' in the article explained?
Where is racism explained.
Reading the article, you'd think hordes of German soldiers are killing and torturing non Germans just because they think they are better [a la Hitler].

Or...and please read slowly.
As Germans, you are being Brainwashed from early childhood to never be racist, never be nasty, always love and embrace other cultures to the detriment of your own, because we were Nazis ones and everyone has to pay for it, even 3 generations after.

Having become weak and far too liberal [not many other countries would put up with this], we have been abused.
We have been abused because we seemed 'ready' to accept almost anything.
So they unleashed people on us without asking and who have really, visibly changed my country so much, I can't recognise it.

Have you ever met a modern German? Most are so liberal, it feels like they are under hypnosis. They are really extreme in their open mindedness.
So yeah they are extreme.

However every human has a limit. Every population has a limit. Every worry about the invaders is being shut down, so those that worry can't discuss it without punishment.
So some soldiers are now waking up. yeah at last!

Are they racist? Are they extremists? Or are they men who have actually grown a backbone despite the government effort to keep them weak.
Your insulting comment about predicting something, if Germany would ever unify is from a point of absolutely no idea about Germans or Germany. I lived in a separated Germany, I knew people suffering on the others side, I was ecstatic and cried when the injustice came finally down.

Germans aren't wild animals that can't be trusted. However the newcomers are and at last the civilised world is waking up.
But because it is against the grand plan of a one world government, everyone who is against this is labelled an extremist and a racist.
The catch words of the times which silence anyone immediately. Lets make it illegal, you can even lock anyone up that opens their mouth and quite rightly worries. Those are Nazi tactics but they are coming from the wrong side.

If you are scared about NAzis, let me tell you that they are wearing different clothes [sandals] now and can be found on our far left.
They are dangerous and extreme. Leave our soldiers alone, they are just people whose words have been twisted by the evil left. And YOU fell for it!

Isnt Germany now experiencing major problems with massive influx of dangerous savages facilitated by their own govenment with no end in sight?

Yeah i could see some folks eventually taking a stand against that.

And some, already associated with white nationalism, are just using it as an excuse to act out in hatred and violence. They simply just aren't against immigration as opinion they are acting out in violence.

Not sure id consider it a problem necessarily.

Really?

SALZHEMMENDORF, Germany — As a volunteer firefighter, Sascha D. was among the crew that rushed to the home of an immigrant family after it was firebombed in this small town in central Germany last summer.

Mr. L., 31, who liked to daub swastikas on village walls, then hurled it through a window of the street-level apartment of a 34-year-old single mother of three from Zimbabwe who remains so traumatized she still has trouble sleeping, the court heard. German law protects the identity of the accused, meaning that unless there are extenuating circumstances, only first names and initials of surnames are made public.

They are not just against Muslims either;

“If the Negro burns, I will really celebrate,” Mr. L. said afterward, according to Saskia B., 24, who served as the driver for the two but is now testifying against her friends.

Also, want to point this out-

The arson attacks have become a German specialty. Just a few such attacks have been recorded in Sweden, and not one in neighboring Austria, despite a similar percentage of new migrants, and a far-right party polling 30 percent or more.

At least also post every rape, gang beating and arson committed by newcomers. After all if you don't, it sounds as if there are just some nutters getting violent for no reason at all.

I am NOT condoning violence at all. Not from Germans but also not from the invaders.

I cannot for the life of me see people getting angry at immigrants that are integrating, hard working and civilised. Why would they?
Plus, violence only ensues when every other method of raising awareness has failed, is ignored or made illegal.

If you have nowhere to turn an nobody listens and makes you a criminal because of thought crimes, you haev two options:

- say "Oh, ok, lets stop and lie down like good doggies and get shafted and your culture destroyed whilst everyone copies the lowest common denominator.
- Or, take it into your own hands.

The second option is born of necessity and is the least favourable!

However a glass will spill over if you add too much water. Even if you don't want it to spill over or you get annoyed by the water soaking your table.
The best thing is not to fill it up too much in the first place or at least expect the consequences if you keep pouring.

I do know that a very minor amount of people just like violence [Football hooligans anybody?] But a nation and it's distress should not be measured by some knuckleheads. The very vast majority doesn't want violence, they want to be heard and taken seriously.

Ignore the majority for long enough and they may very well join the knuckleheads, what have they got to lose?

This Bundeswehr scandal is designed to let islamists in the ranks of the German armed forces. If I were in the general staff of Germany I would forcibly remove Merkel and von Der Leyen from office.

The whole of Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, UK are all nazis, because their Roayls made of nazism the main national ideology and operational system since the end of WW2, this has culminated into the creation of NATO, under chief nazi ideologist Winston Churchill and Edward VIII.

Well, NAZI is the short term and stands for "National Socialism". Which does not sound like a "far right" ideology to me. No "far right" people I know, have any love for socialist. But I'm a native American (US.). In the States we have "National Socialist" (Democrats) calling the "far right" NAZI'S. And we that are right, and on the right, can't figureout what they're talking about. But these Socialist in the US. are our problem. I'm not sure how the leftist government in Germany can deal with their own out of control left. But I wish them the best.
The article sounds to me like they've got some German nationalist (not the same as NAZI), that love their country more than their government does. Ironically, I know, very strange. I'm willing to wager these rogues are Nationalist and not, "National Socialist (NAZIS).

I know really? Sounds like Germany needs some good ol fashion national German leadership! As long as it stays in Germany, I'm all for it! The United States has enough "National Socialist" to deal with to even worry about helping these poor German Soldiers take back their country.

So? You're a Socialist, a "National Socialist. A NAZI. I noticed you used "fascists" instead of Nazi for the "right".
So You're for the people? Have you ever read the Constitution of the United States? It's all about the people. Mostly you as an individual, bit also the people. Then look at the political party that cries for it to be changed. Yes. It's the "national socialist" party, democrats. The "far left". Not liberals, they're socialist. NAZI'S! Words have been hijacked and twisted.
