If you can not find intend in the e-mail "scandel" with proven miscunduct, but not proven intend...

You are not the guy to lead the FBI

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get it. It's all about the email scandal and Billary. I don't give 2/3 of a purple crap about Billary or what happens to her. Didn't vote for her and wouldn't in a million years.

My point is that they can spin this any which way they want, the timing STINKS.
This could be one big poop bomb that's going blow up in their face.
Just about anyone who hasn't guzzled the Trump Kool-aid can see how bad this looks.

You should care about what happens to her. Her email arrangement was illegal and endangered national security. Comey laid out all the evidence that crimes were committed and chose not to recommend charges because his boss was Loretta Lynch. You can't just give her a pass because the election is over, it sets a dangerous precedent for any future mishandling of classified info. All the left cried that it was just a ploy to bring down her campaign, well guess what for those of us who have held a security clearance and know for a fact she broke the law, it was never about that. It was about upholding the law, and still is. She needs to be prosecuted.

Look, that's just fine. Like I said, I don't give a crap about her. Totally your business. Hope it makes you happy. Hope you feel more secure when she's locked up.

Given the larger context and what we're learning, the timing still STINKS. And there's not one iota of rabid, patriotic Tumpensteinian antilogic that will kill that stench.

You honestly don't see the problem? You think this is just an issue to make ex military guys feel better? Do you have no concept of how national security affects you?

I have more of a concept of national security and how it affects me than you know.
Like I said, lock her up. I don't care.

The timing of this still STINKS.
- We're just starting to see more public-facing actions from the ongoing investigation that has turned up no evidence by virture of the fact we haven't heard it. (More Trumpensteinian antilogic) Flynn's associates have been subpoenaed.

- Comey went to Rosenstein w/a request for more money and resources for that investigation that's turned up nothing because we haven't heard it.

- That evil little hick version of the Keebler elves--Jeff Sessions--weighed in this too, even though he's already recused himself in the matter for being one of several individuals who conveniently forgot about discussions with the Russians.

Maybe nothing ever comes of it all. I'm willing to let it play out. If there's nothing, there's nothing. No biggy. If there's something there after all, though, I hope your concerns about national security are apolitical and nonpartisan because treason's a BIG one.

I haven't mentioned the timing, I took issue with how you could say you don't care about what happens to Clinton. I am even more concerned if you say you do understand national security. Understanding national security and not caring someone got away with mishandling highly classified documents don't really go hand in hand.

It's not that I don't care about mishandling highly classified documents. Yes, that's clearly an issue. No argument. I just don't care what happens to Billary. Period.
My point here is that the timing stinks, no matter what kind of spin they try to put on it. It already seems to be blowing up in their face.

I can't argue they could've tried to control the optics better, you are right about that. It's only blowing up in their face as much as the Democrats can keep the media drooling over it. It won't last long, because there's nothing there. They're running out of steam on the Trump/Russia connection. This is the last gasp. After the AG declines to appoint a special prosecutor, Schumer, Warren and a few of the other leeches will grandstand for a few more days, the FBI and Congressional committees will finish their investigations with zero impact from the Comey firing (so much for a coverup), reveal there's no evidence of collusion, Democrats will falsely claim a coverup and offer no evidence, they'll solidify a few votes from the lemmings and further alienate independents, and that will be that.

That's not entirely true. What the FBI thinks is important and their opinion is represented by the recommendations they make to the JD on any given case.

For one, Comey wasn't the FBI. Two, the goal is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to justify a criminal prosecution.

It's actually not even a criminal investigation. The Democrats are just pretending it is.

And yes I know the liberals here will cry about the source, but it's not an opinion piece. It contains direct quotes from the Director. It's not a criminal investigation. This is fact, not opinion.

He was the head of the FBI.

Two, the goal is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to justify a criminal prosecution.

So we can then conclude that what the FBI thinks in regards to the evidence is quite important, is it not?

Excellent. Best to keep the fake news out.
They made their bed, now they can lie in it (continuously lie that is).

What I'm saying is that no one knows what the FBI thinks, we've only heard their then-director James Comey's opinions, which he shared . What we do know is that Comey announced his thoughts at a press conference, and according to Rosensteing "we do not hold press conferences to release derogatory information about the subject of a declined criminal investigation".

Ok. That does not address the aspect I was touching on. You said this:

The FBI is not a federal court, and the FBI director is not a prosecutor, and he is definitely neither judge nor jury. "What we think about it" is actually up to a jury to conclude

You can argue all you like about it being just his opinion and that we do not know what the FBI thinks, but the fact remains that what the FBI "thinks" is quite important. That is why they make recommendations to the JD on cases.

Well said. And it's not hard to imagine what would've happen if Trump hadn't fired him after receiving said letter. The narrative right now would be that Trump is protecting Comey because Comey got him elected and there'd be claims that Comey has assured Trump the investigation would go nowhere so Trump doesn't want to fire him. No matter what Trump did, the Democrats were going to make up baseless accusations and their gullible voters were gonna lap it up.

No one cares about her anymore. What is this obsession you all have with her?
Why? What?!!!

Who cares about her? She's done. Soon to be visiting your nearest casino theatre. Or Branson, Missouri.

She's LITERALLY an also-ran. A public figure ("actress") who has aged out of her niche. Why can't you just move on? What about her stupid emails is so poisonous to you? Do you not care that Russia was in bed with Trump? That Kushner is selling US citizenship for a mere $500,000 dollars from the Chinese?

That he doesn't have the slightest idea what he thinks until he either reads it on Twitter, or sees himself say it on TV?

How are you okay with that?

Nice continued parrotting of the talking heads. You do know Clinton just started setting up a Super PAC to continue interfering in the Country's business? Oh, and her constant selling of access wihle Secretary of State criminally FAR outweighs the non-supported collusion rumors (Trump-Russia).

No, her stupid emails don't matter. SHE doesn't matter. Trump/Russia is a thing, and no matter how much you try to shush those of us who are actually paying attention and don't care about Hillary. "Talking heads" indeed. TRUMP's team colluded with RUSSIA, who interfered with our election. That is a FACT.

They just did it in France, too - so there's that. That thing. That was thwarted because we KNOW THEY DID IT TO US.

Trump will be impeached, and none too soon.
Hillary isn't the POTUS! Get over it!! Trump is far, far more dangerous.

Stockholm Syndrome - that's what you all are suffering from. You just can't digest the fact that Trump is just as bad (nay, WORSE) than anything you could have imagined. He's a fail. A big fat orange-tinged FAIL and a LIAR and he LIED TO YOU and you believed all his stupid claims were really going to happen.

Snake oil salesman, and only an average one. But you all fell for it.
You are to blame for this. YOU, if you voted for this idiot.

Question: How long would you stay in a relationship with a person you had fancied once you discovered that EVERYTHING they said was a lie? That they NEVER would have been able to build you a castle shiny wall, or round up every person with brown skin and ship them out? That they only want rich scumbags who ruined our economy in high-up positions?

HOW LONG are you willing to stay in that relationship? Is it just your foolish pride? I know it smarts. It hurts, and it sucks to be violated like that. I've been in positions like that - and it's shocking to realize what the person said and what they really are a two very different things.

So sad that there are so very many of you....so foolish to vote for a lying unprepared braggart who can't complete an entire sentence.

This video explains how we see you. Every single one of you who voted for this ridiculous excuse for a competent leader.

Russian Coup lol.
No, people like you who tune into fake media and support them did this. A real media would be allowed access, but that is not what exists in America. America is the home of propaganda news - worse than North Korea.

Do you see a pattern?
Because the one thing I haven't seen is EVIDENCE, zero.
I have a good bit of training in I.T and specifically security, as does thousands of others.
We would be able to UNDERSTAND the evidence, but there has been zero, in instances where evidence for said hack would be abundant ...

It's clearly lies.
These folks were hacked fair and square by who'm ever was feeling like it, the truth was released and they all cried in unison "RUSSIA!!!"

It's a sad day for truth.
Comey was a lapdog, good riddance.

I never said his opinion wasn't important. I stated "The FBI is not a federal court, and the FBI director is not a prosecutor, and he is definitely neither judge nor jury. "What we think about it" is actually up to a jury to conclude". The point is he should not have shared his opinions in a press conference, especially during an election.

Support them investigating this coup till the cows come home.... if their methods dont become obstructionist. Hell, we should have been putting the last few presidents under a microscope as well.

I dont know too many people who Id consider patriots that would continue support of Trump if evidence of collusion or corruption concerning the Russians were found. Same with the Dem patriots who wanted to nail Clinton when her BS was uncovered concerning classified emails and this Clinton Foundation nonsense. Some of us just arent that blind and dont worship donkeys and elephants like sick cultists as others do. We care more about the viability of our country more than our political "label".
