Whether people want to admit it or not Obama is still politically relevant. He left the White House with a decent approval rating (over 50%) and if he was able to run again he probably would have won. The past few presidents cannot claim the same.

So it makes sense for the media to ask and print Obama's views on the current state of the country.

These people don't get it. Anything involving Obama must be awful and evil. They are the same people who were trying to say that Obama taking a vacation was really him trying to avoid extradition. Just keep whining and whining about Obama while ignoring all the REAL problems Donald Trump creates on a daily basis.

No doubt... I thought Bush was the kind of guy you would like to have a beer with. While I didn't think he was the sharpest tool in the shed I do think he handled a lot of issues with level headiness and resolve. He knew where he was going and how he wanted to get there..

I actually voted for Obama in 08.....Worst mistake of my political voting career. Obama by far was the worst president in my life time so far...He should take a page out of Bush's book and STFU and just fade away...But we all know he is too self absorbed to do that.....

I also remember the Republicans issuing a bunch of irresponsible tax cuts for the rich during Bush' Presidency. But yeah, just TRY to blame the Democrats for the 08 crash. That's actually a new one, to be honest. I didn't think anyone was THAT partisan brainwashed to attempt such an argument but here we are.

Are People really this short sighted you do remember Obama brought America from the brink of a depression from the mess bush made because when bush was in office he literally signed all these bills that almost collapsed our economy... so yes a lot of Obamas issues stemed from an adminstration that took us from a surplus to a major crippling debt...Back to the op how was what he did now make him more classless then a president who mocks people with disabilities???

Anyway your great trump scared all the illegals from working so enjoy your higher food cost because the minimum wage for everything just went up in a lot of industries

Why exactly should they do that?? Can he affect a change or implement policy? Can he even call anyone and ask for a favor in getting something accomplished in GOV??

The answer is a BIG FAT NO....MSM want's him to be relevant so they publish his opinions....but they are just opinions.. He is a lame powerless has been who's policies influenced the American public to vote for anything that was opposite of him....So much so that the American Public threw it in his face when he said he would be personally hurt if Hillary didn't win....

A vote for Trump was a vote against Obama period.....and the people have spoken...

Besides haven't you people learned enough from the last pollsters about popularity.

That did not cause the housing crash. It could be great or terrible, either way it has nothing to do with the housing market crash.

You're missing the point entirely. The point is, no matter how much Obama blamed Bush or was asked to comment on Obama's policies or blaming, he didn't. He kept his mouth shut as respect to Obama. Obama should act the same way. No where did I say Bush was a good president or had good policies. Merely he exited the presidency with class.

Wow insightful stuff......

Let me try.....Obama is a closet homosexual who supports terrorism and is married to a tranny.....You are braindead and support terroristic homosexuals who are confused and marry tranny's for supporting him.

Before he ran for office what kind of pull did Trump have? At least the same Obama has now if not less. That didn't stop the media from regularly asking about and publishing his political views. Why? Because he was a relevant individual of notoriety. Those facts alone are reason enough for most people to care regardless of the fact that he didn't really have an ability to effect change.

please remember, the MSM asks opinions of others for ratings. They are interested in money and pushing the agenda they are told to push by their owners. This isn't a conspiracy or a hidden fact, it's reality as we all know it.

I don't think people are hating on Obama for being asked his opinion, I think they are saying he should have more class with his answers, and be like Bush who did not badmouth and sabotage Obama after he left office.

One YUGGEEE difference....Trump was starting his new job where his opinions were going to eventually effect policy...Obama was just fired from his job and literally has ZERO chance of making policy but yet still talks about the good ole days when he was employed and what he would have done if he still had the job...

I think I'll voice my complaints and listen to the current employee. Not some scorned ex employee who hangs around out back of the building and is in danger of being served a trespass warning for loitering.

Wrong. The media has been publishing Trump's political opinions since the 90's. This wasn't the first time he considered running for President either. But even just recently he was at the forefront of the birther movement, and this was before he announced his candidacy for Presidency too. Try again.

Wrong how??

So Trump isn't president??

Obama is still the President and is making policy??

Oh wait....this is the fantasy Dems are still stuck in....my bad. You almost even had me seeing an alternate reality.

Exactly. And Obama still equals ratings. By the time Bush left everyone was fed up with him and nobody really cared what he had to say. Clinton left in disgrace and I'm sure he was more than happy to have the spotlight off of him. Daddy Bush only served one term so who cares what he had to say. Reagan was already feeling the effects of his disease by the time he left office so keeping him off television was for the best.

Face it. Obama is the first president in a while who still remains relevant after his turn in office. He still means money for the networks. So they're going to try to do everything they can to get him to open up about the current political landscape. You may think it classless but I bet if any of the last few presidents left on such good terms they to would have been more than happy to express their views on the new administration.

The media has been publishing Trump's political views for decades. It didn't just start when he decided to run for President. Why do you think a real estate mogul has more influence than a former President? Remember, there's only five living men that have the unique perspective of having served as President. I'd say that counts for a hell of a lot more when it comes to political insight than the owner of a failed casino.
