My last week working at the graphic arts department at PSU I left them this. They were stumped because they couldn't figure out a way to make a sign for a room they put in for new mothers who were attending classes. It couldn't all be in English because they might not understand. This was my solution. Okay, who did I offend?

What did they want the sign to convey? I can't even tell what that's supposed to represent, much less get offended by it. Were you trying to offend someone? Not sure what your topic is here....very little information to go with the pic.

It's a no bottle tattoo on the baby. It says nursing station. It's a sign saying that you can breastfeed. That or I'm incredibly dense. I don't see how it's offensive.

It's offensive to babies who can't flash a thumbs up.

I thought it was a little bandaid that was supposed to mean no shots.

I thought it was a pack of cigarettes ...No smoking around the baby.

I've had a couple glasses of rum at this point though and should be ignored.

I suggest you keep drinking and posting. Let the masses decide for themselves if you should be ignored!

My first thought was anti vaxxer nonsense.

I had to show a place where woman could breast feed without it being offensive or the lettering all in English. I figured a "no bottle" tattoo would be appropriate with a big thumbs up. I don't know if they used it or not but I think you can see the dilemma. a reply to: tigertatzen

Yeah, you got it. I figured somebody would get offensive about this for God knows what reason. It was pretty hard to show what the room was for. This was just my solution and I thought it got the message across. a reply to: Domo1

Should have put some clothes on that kid, nudity in public not allowed.

There we go! You have to be more outraged though! OP was expecting it.

ok - reasons i find it objectionable :

A - the " no bottle " stigmatism - hey why cannt parents who use bottles have a space to feed thier infants too ? unless they " prep at home " - preparing a bottle feed " in thje wild " is not easy

B - vaugeness - 2 of us have looked at your " no bottle " art and wrongly linked it to the anti-vaxxer idiocy - its too small and to vague

now for the fun bit - an open ended critique [ hjow to offend as many wingnuts as possible ] :

1 - ethnicity // race

2 - gender

3 - thumbs up = not a ubiquitous signal for positive [ cultural specific ]

i dont object to points 1 ~ 3 - but i assure you - yiou will find people that do

ok - point 3 does come under my objection of vagueness

A fully-clothed woman holding a baby AT her breast would do the trick, I think.
The only people offended would be those who militantly object to the idea that nakedness is offensive.

I would say the bottle with a red line through it is offensive to those who have tried the indescribably hard task of breast feeding and failed.

Otherwise it's a nice, funny picture.

The fact you use English when you are not supposed to is a bit odd...

"Upright baby" = "hugs and cuddle".
"Horizontal baby" = "feeding".
We could get a whole system worked out here.

P.S. "Upside-down baby"= "child abuse prevention officer".

wingnuts who are " offended " by the sight of breasts out-number " failed breast feeders " by a rediculous margin

I don'no. The kid's thumb is too long and the gesture and the almost sly look on his face suggests to me that the post may appeal to many men as just what they would want to nestle up to....

Yeah. I know, a perverted view.

Why anyone would be offended at the sight of breasts I don't know.

Actually - hypocrite alert: I was/am slightly put off by a cleavage avatar on here today.
