It was a dark and stormy night.

President Dick B. Long sighed as he thought about going upstairs to the residence and slipping under the sheets next to his cold, covers-hogging wife in her pantsuit-style pajamas...beige, and flannel. He closed his eyes and threw up just a little in his mouth. He leaned back in the big executive chair, closed his eyes and thought about the day before and....that blue dress.

Suddenly, the dim lights flickered and he heard a low hum. The room was washed in blue light and there was a slight shimmer in the space in front of his desk. Within the blink of an eye, the shimmer turned into a presence.

She was tall, slender (very slender), gray, and had eyes like a Margaret Keane 60's painting of big-eyed waifs. Dick B. Long was mesmerized and as he stood to greet her, he felt a familiar tingling in his body along with a slight electromagnetic vibration. "I wonder," he secretly thought to himself inquisitively as he quickly surveyed her form.

He instinctively knew that this was the time. He had been briefed for months by high intelligence officials that "they" had arrived en masse a few years ago, and had only been waiting for the right time to disclose their presence. They had not yet discussed their purpose, however, and the intelligence officials had been unable to find out.

Just as he was about to offer her a seat on the couch in hopes they could get down to business (in more ways than one), the tingle turned into a somewhat uncomfortable electrical surge, and he was gone along with the waif.

By noon the next day, the White House had made an announcement: The President is missing.
