Because they are always asking the theist for answers. It's as if the atheist
only gets to ask questions. Why is this so? I must assume it's because the
atheist has no answers. And when I think about it, How could they have
any answers to their own questions. They have made a conclusion based
on zero evidence about an ideology that has been around since before
recorded history. Not only that there is a history to it absolutely.
And Richard Dawkins intolerable attitude towards a point of view other
than his own? Just makes him a secularist bigot and nothing more.
Atheists have no answers and even Flew flew the coupe. So when it
comes to questions about mans origins? I can't possibly consider the
atheist.

Could you be more specific as to which questions we're asking? Perhaps I can explain why we ask them.

Also, what answers to which questions are we supposed to have?

Atheism isn't an ideology, so there's no scripture, no common line of thinking or universal agreement on anything philosophical for an atheist, other than a lack of belief in any gods.

I can understand how that can be confusing from the perspective of a religious individual, considering religions all have their own answers. So it's an honest misunderstanding.

But if you're honestly curious, I can see if I can help

It isn't a lack of belief in a God, it is a belief there is no God.. And it utilizes even more faith than people who believe in God since there is more evidence than not that there is a God.

I just want to know why God doesn't heal amputees!

Other than that, the rest sounds believable.

Absolutely ridiculous.
I don't believe in any gods, but I don't believe they do not exist, I just haven't seen anything in life to draw me towards believing.

No faith at all required with my rational position.
You theists are desperate to attach faith to a lack of belief, it's laughable.

*edit*
People claim bigfoot exists, I don't believe the claims because I've never seen one, and why the # would I believe people I don't know?
I do not however assert there are no bigfoots, or pixies and dragons for that matter, just there is nothing to draw me towards believing the claims.
Gods are in the same unverifiable list as goblins and bigfoot to me, absolutely zero faith required to lack belief.

I so love this idea that if you don't believe then you serve no purpose and are wrong, the paranoia in that is so strong.

And then there's the divides in religion, one set believes but its seen as the wrong sort of belief because the other persons 'religion' is different yet in reality its very much the same but that isn't good enough for the other set.

Again, paranoia and a class system...

Life is hard enough, I chose to believe in science and hard facts, I've no time to play "I'm better than you", I'll just plod on with my views and let others fight.

That paranoia can drive you mad

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. We'll await with bated breath.

That 'ideology' has no basis in fact either. Even more of a fairy tale. Remember it was written before man had even microscopes to look at cell division, DNA, etc.

At least science is following the breadcrumbs. Organized Religion stopped asking questions long ago, how close minded is that?

Already demonstrated that there is plenty of facts for a court to find
in favor of a creator over atheism.

You are just wrong because your ignorant.

What? Are you really saying a court could find in favour of creator claims beyond reasonable doubt?
Really?!

Lol, ridiculous, I'll let it go though, you avidly believe and I don't so to continue is just going in circles.
If your faith comforts you or whatever, best of luck with it.

I don't think for one minute any idea is insane.
Not even atheism. But if called upon to make a judgment?
I would have to say atheism is far less based on facts it answers
nothing and is therefore closer to insanity than anything
I've ever heard.

Don't be frightened and just scoff. I gave you more credit.

The real problem mojo is that many atheists who don't know Christian belief assume they do
That's when they decide who is right and wrong based on their own misconception

I just got told I wasn't a christian because I can accept the bible has a few errors.
Because I think there is evil in the church
Because of that, I am not a follower of Christ

So, atheists don't need to know about God, I agree, just best stay right out of it then
If your anti theistic team want to comment, please at least understand the issue

2 Corinthians 4:4 - In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Matthew 10:34 -“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Ah not at all, just claims of gods can't be verified in any way to draw me towards believing them, and we'll both just end up repeating ourselves.
That would make for a boring thread.

You're confusing atheism (the lack of a belief in a diety) to something like Nihilism (no point to life, we all die).

The number of people who don't even understand the fundamental definition of atheism is astounding.

P.S. Religious people are insane. Clearly not rational nor logical.

If this isn't the case, then why do so many people continue to murder, maim, and torture in the name of their God(s)?
