Shenyang continues FC-31/J-31 development

It seems the Chinese have not stopped working on the FC-31. There has been some question on whether or not the project would go forward since while it was originally announced as a gov backed project with a j designatiion, it has been redesignated with the export only fc.

Some of the improvements noted are RCS reduction measures and the inclusion of an irst.

I wonder who the intended market for the FC-31 though if not China proper. Pakistan?

Pakistan will be a big export customer, they might try to break into the Iranian market and some of the traditional Russian markets in Asia.
