European militaries budget cuts can commence by using off the shelf software instead of developing their excruciatingly expensive "re-invention of the wheel". Since they claim the UK's aircraft carrier uses Windows XP, then maybe it's actually time to upgrade to windows 10! Networking inside the ships? No prob. there's Cisco hardware and software for that.
