Thinking and Listening

When people feel helpless, they feel hopeless.
When people feel hopeless they have no vision.
When they have no vision they cast off restraint.
When they cast off restraint they perish.

Only moral and ethical behavior can restore America to greatness.
To be great means you think about others before yourself.
Don't accept that capitalism is synonymous with Christianity.
Many people believe wealth is the result of God's blessing.

Throughout history many vile kings, presidents, and rulers
have proven their love of money and power brought their
nations to ruin and eventually internal collapse.
“Not many rich men will enter the kingdom.”

Wealth is often hoarded and defended against the unknown future .
Wealth often chooses to be spent on making more wealth.
The success of capitalism should be that we take care of each other.
That we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick
and comfort those who are suffering.

Without empathy we are doomed to become more and more narcissistic.
Without empathy we lose the creative power of art to change lives.
Without empathy we condemn others for the wrongs in society
Without empathy we become the prosecutor, judge and jury.

The question is who will defend us and who will judge us?
Will media, will academia, will history?
Who will renew our vision
and make America great again?

Thanks Swanne! I have been absent for awhile. I am hoping to write more and join in with my ATS community once again. There is so much anger and division in the world right now it is hard to create! Thanks for reading and commenting!
