My youngest son (Dougie) insisted that I "Publish" his "book"!!
So, here it is...

CHOCOLATE BUSTERS - by Dougie (Aged 7)

Once upon a time there was a boy called Callum.

He likes chocolate and you will too.... ahhhhh!!! Bosh! The house blew up.
Callum had turned into a big chocolate egg! People ran everywhere, screaming ahhhhhHHHH!!!!
But not the chocolate busters. They fired melted chocolate at Callum, he got smaller.
But he ate chocolate to get him bigger so he stayed the same size! But then melted chocolate fell from the sky and that got Callum back to normal.
No more chocolate for you! and they lived happily ever after, chocolate free!

by Dougie.

Could make a decent scenario for the next Tim Burton film!

Dear Dougie,
Your story was fabulous! Chocolate is my world!
I'm sorry your Dad is so weird but he means well. (Releasing wooden mushrooms into the wild is only mildly eccentric, no need to be concerned. Yet.)

Your Shed Family sends their love to you.
Please keep writing, you have much talent...must get it from your Mum, eh?

*hugs* from your Canadian auntie,
jacy

There is no such thing as living happily ever after, chocolate free! Thank the lord this is a fictional tale..maybe a horror story. Next he'll be saying how bacon can't make you happy...

Dougie has got a real future in writing..keep up the good work. (and I love the illustrations as well)

Thanks,

Maybe he meant "FREE Chocolate"?? LOL

His next story should be about a duvet (bed blanket) made of chocolate covered crispy bacon?
It keeps you cozy and feeds you all at the same time! nom nom nom.

Dear Dougie,

I really enjoyed reading your story, even though I was really worried for Callum when the Chocolate Busters came at him, I am happy that all turned out well in the end.

And a special thanks to whoever posted Chocolate Rain the theme song.

Keep it up Dougie! You can mail that free chocolate my way any time.

Dougie,

I was so frightened that the world would be covered by chocolate that I was shaking. Fortunately all turned out well in the end. I enjoyed your artwork as well. Looking forward to reading your next story.

Fantastic! Keep writing, Dougie! I suggest bacon for your next theme. Or possibly caramel.

*fist bump to Dougie*
*shifty eyes at Gordi*

Just kidding Gordi!

Dougie, I loved your story! You wrote about my favorite subject...chocolate! The ending was scary though with no more chocolate. Loved your pictures as well and would love to see more of your stories!

Love and a big hug from Auntie Raine!
