Sounds legit. I see other sources saying the same.

I'll wear the dunce hat now. I also denounce daily-fail for sensationalizing. That actually pisses me off. It should everyone.

You win, bro!

Goodnight.

Remember that experiment you talked about? I didnt win, the media trolls won. You did what they wanted and allowed yourself to get trollled. Maybe i talk with a sharp point, but what I stand by everything I said.

No hard feelings from me, goodnight.

I had to nap for a few hours and missed the official announcement. What really gets me about this is how the Palace handled this meeting. To call it at such an odd hour involving staff from all over the country and on an "emergency" basis no less made it appear as though something happened to the Queen or her husband.

I'm glad they are both ok.

I am not glad about how tptb handled this.

I think they found out how the public will react once HM passes, which I hope won't be for a very long time.

Prince Philip is retiring from official dutys at the end of the year.

So dunce much?

It is still pretty weird to rouse everyone in the middle of the night from all over and tell them to get down to London ASAP. That's an announcement that could have waited.

Someone going funnier than usual in their old age?

Wow - sounds like a good series - quite possibly the Royal Family is "not amused"

Agreed.
Our hereditary constitutional monarchy system is an obscene affront to democracy, archaic and frankly shameful in the 21st century.

Really, is this thread supposed to be for wild theories on the species the Royal Family are? Opinions on how awful it is having a monarchy at all?

Please stick to the topic at hand and for the other stuff find an appropriate thread or make your own.

And no more veiled snarking at each other too.

Crikey.

I guess many of the other Royals will be getting their own breakfast this morning. What a novel thing to happen.

A monarchy is only as good as its king or queen. If you have good rulers, the kingdom will prosper. A monarchy isn't necessarily bad. You have a bad ruler, the people will suffer. I think it's actually not that different from any other form of government in that respect.
