My opinion is real. Isn't yours?

Sure, but if my opinion was that The Rock is really a female, I can say it and go it's true with no evidence.

He's been nothing for a few years now. I don't care what anybody says about politicians, I hate them all. I'm a registered Libertarian but Gary Johnson was too stoned to even make sense last year.

I didn't vote, and this thread is about FREE SPEECH, although if you want to dirty talk about Trump's holster, be my guest.

The .liner is attractive to people who want slam to defenders
of Colberts hateful attacks.

Then I saw your avatar.
Then I read your opener.

Needless to say I'm very disappointed in you Cowboy.
For not being the person I was looking to chain to my
fifth wheel. Maybe he shouldn't be fired but I hope he is
any way.

That depends on how one interprets the FCC regulations. One group argues that you can't say it at all, period. Another group argues that you can't say it between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. but after that, it's okay in certain contexts.

That phrase is not even allowed here, is it?

That's cause ATS has higher standards than Colbert fans.

Except for thinking he's an asshole, I agree with you.

For the rest of the conservative crowd upset by his words I leave you this meme..

Yet you are not brave enough to quote the actual phrase here.

Why is that, champion of free speech?

Pretty sure I've heard worse on Archer.

I think the FCC rules are more about time of day than what words, because I hear every bad word now on TV. Even on those ghost shows, every time a door slams or somebody feels a cold touch they scream the F word, and bleeping it out doesn't exactly work. In a way, it sucks because they lose their shock value. Curse words are so passé' now.

He shouldn't be punished for what he said.

If it was "President Hillary" and I had a forum to talk about her, I'd hope like hell I'd still have the freedom to call her the vile hag that she is.

I don't think he should be fired but should apologize form making such a crude remark on Network TV...

Save that kind of humor for HBO.

Donalds Trumps crude remarks on telly didn't do him so much harm at the end up it seems???

Hes nowhere near as funny than david letterman, but its funny to see all the triggered trump fans making sure they tell us how they really feel.

And here i though you guys where alpha males lol.

But but he said a bad word.

Dare I say ?

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.

Colbert had the right to say what he did.

Another question is just because we can mean we should ?

OMG, not THIS again. What is it with you lefties, constantly baiting other posters to write things that will get their post removed?? This is a private site, they have T&C's, and we stick to them.

I swear y'all message each other and say, "Dare so-and-so to say such-and-such." This isn't elementary school. Thread after thread, here come the liberals, with the same tired tactics and the same tired garbage.

Why don't YOU post it? It's probably your new ring tone.

I guess that opens the door to all kinds of possibilities like calling Gay Pride Day "C-Holster day" since it is no longer considered offensive or homophobic, right?

Or Mother's Day could be renamed to "C*Holster Day".
Since...you know...

I wonder how many here would echo that sentiment. I'm at a loss to understand how those who consider themselves champions of free speech when it comes to Berkeley can turn around and demand a reckoning over Colbert's speech.

In one of the other threads about what Colbert said, a member made a comment about not wanting to see America if people like Colbert weren't silenced.

That, frankly, is far more disturbing an idea than what some two-bit TV clown has to say about the President, regardless of what party the President is from.

Well yeah, many use the "freedom from consequences" as a way of punishing anyone using free speech.

They do that in North Korea also.

I see that the Canadian school system is worse than that of the United States....or English is your second language.

The purpose of this thread is the support of free speech, no matter how stupid, or how badly the person saying it is shooting their own foot.

Nobody's triggered, we all agree that Colbert can say what he wants.

Gotta love that free speech thing, it brings out every window licker on the short bus. Welcome, Skippy.

I admit it'd be more appropriate to call Hillary a (insert colberts comment here).
But we both know the owners of any venue can do what they want. The rights of
owner ship sometimes can outweigh civil rights I guess.
