Bots get triggered all the time. That's their function.

Maybe it's ransom ware.

I just have to star it for it to go away.

Pleonastic would be good, too. Superfluous, but that one seems ripe for misinterpretation.

Small steps, Augie. Small steps.

I agree, the road to sesquipedalian repartee is one not to be tread in haste.

I find thinking about baseball helps.

Apparently everyone is a word-wizard with a dictionary in their back pocket.

Guys this is the internet, and there are rules to the internet, no vocabulary past the 9th grade.

K thnx

It does...until your mind wanders into the 'Who's on First?' routine.

Then I start snickering and tell her to just go make a sammich.

Back in the day we use to call them $1000 words.

Due to inflation they probably cost $10,000.

Hey you said you were getting your dictionary out a full page ago. Get you some of those little finger pads to help turn pages faster.

I see no need to be verbose or loquacious when it comes to acknowledging that you've been triggered yet again.

Starting to think this thread is infested with a bot.

That's funny.

Earlier you quoted part of ATS T&C's about slandering of personal figures names.

You know what else is in the T&C's?

Exactly what you're insinuating.

You're realllly starting to let your unfettered bias cloud any sort of reason you might or might not have.

"I don't agree with you, you must be a bot!"

The term "safe space," comes to mind.

They do, but you only get charged when you use them correctly.

Tell what to call it then.

Repeatedly saying the exact same thing OVER and OVER again,

Blah Triggered blah blah triggered blah blah blah.

For 10 posts in this thread AND in dozens of other
threads.

ALL Saying the EXACT SAME THING.

Party's over. Pack up your holsters and go elsewhere.

FTR, I hope that everybody feels free to insult any public official, whether they are a genius like George Carlin was, or a mediocre flash in the pan like Colbert.

To know who is in charge, learn who you are not allowed to criticize.

So far that flash in the pan is nearing 20 years since his start on the Daily Show and still going strong... Colbert and Carlin are both geniuses. Love them both.

Glad you do. I disagree that Colbert is a genius, and I never found him to be funny like Jon Stewart was, but.....to me he's a has-been who has to do publicity stunts like this to get more viewers. JMOHO, of course.

Give Maxine Waters 10 professional comedy writers...and you can call her a comedic genius too.

Doubt it.
She eff up a knock knock joke.

Honkey who?

You're saying that one unalienable right trumps (grr) another?

Free speech over pursuit of happiness?

You aren't off the hook on this one...

what I think is that speech, expression, the written word are just an extension of thought.

We are basically saying that it is okay to punish someone for an extension of thought.

Happiness, or the pursuit of is not a static thing that applies to everyone the same.

What I hope is that one day, if enough people believe in free speech then mere words will lose their impact it has on society.

We should be concerned with actions, not words.

Well after all, their messiah did insist that his intelligence briefings having "less words, more pictures."

Why do you think the threads with no content but mank demes are so popular?

Because 0/10 - not enough memes.

(Words are hard)
