Two things make this hard:

1. It's a copperhead, so he really is about the same exact color as what you are looking at. It's about recognizing pattern more than color.

2. I think we all start looking for something big or something with a head. This one is not big and you can't see it's head.

It's at the right corner, next to the Twitter "follow" thing.

As someone else so ably mentioned twice ... it is "right there" ... pretty much right in the middle. Someone took a picture of the snake. So it's the subject, but the picture is a very big one so your eye does get drawn off. I'll wait a bit longer and then put up the one I have with a circle drawn around it.

I can't believe I can't find it...

but I can't find it!

ETA: Not more than a minute longer, and I found it. Center-cut!

Being honest it wasn't the easiest snake to find.

Now if i may...Look at he left edge of the pic between the 3 plants (middle) and it looks like a green snake, not the one we're looking for but still looks like a snake.

Thanks OP for sharing

I see it. It only takes getting bitten once to become hyper vigilant. Got bit on the wrist bit a copperhead when I was 14- that was one time too many!

Don't know, but I do know that once you know there's a snake there and you can't see it ... everything in that picture looks like a snake.

Matrixing!

Wow, normally I spot the animal within a second or two in pictures like this, but it took me a good like 2 minutes. That's some legit camouflage.

Yes, it's there, and appears to actually be a copperhead. Nasty little suckers.

Best way to spot a copper head is movement. I killed three at my cabin last summer. I hate the sneaky little suckers.

Bottom right corner all you see is the head and part of the body about 2-3" it's coming out from under the leaves.

Edit: I guess I was wrong...Sneaky little bastards.

if u have decent vision they arent real hard to see in person. the key to that photo is the lack of resolution. its not that the snake is hiding great or anything, its just too low res to be able to clearly define.

Yeah theres a copperhead in the pic. I almost steped on one in south carolina in my parents backyard last summer. They are hard to spot.
