And what's bad is that Kushner was better than the alternative he was replacing. Bannon.

A pile of putrid rotting filth is better than Bannon.

Trumps closest advisers are Jared K. a Zionist and Bannon a white supremacist, anti Semite.....what could possibly go wrong?

Building the barrier/wall was approved long ago.

Money has always been appropriated for the border wall since the 1990’s, so, there is a line item for the wall in the federal budget.

The bidding process continues unhindered.

President Trump specifically stated Saturday in Harrisburg: “The Wall will be built; don’t even think about it"

Rest assured the Trump WH will institute a blistering Twitter campaign and right the conservative Titanic before it goes off the rails. Believe me!!!

Trump raises prospect of government shutdown to leverage better budget for GOP in fall

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

The reason for the plan negotiated between the Republicans and Democrats is that we need 60 votes in the Senate which are not there! We....

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

either elect more Republican Senators in 2018 or change the rules now to 51%. Our country needs a good "shutdown" in September to fix mess!

Don't ask me what a "good" shutdown is though. Good isn't an adjective that I would put in front of shutdown...

Well I can think of serveral nouns I would put shutdown in front of. Not always a bad thing.

This is all just bread and circus.

For now. Yes. Trump's threat is mostly just bluster so many months before the shutdown can happen. I'm not taking it seriously in any case. Just having a little fun in the thread. That's all.

No. It wasn't. Unless you are talking about that patchwork of fences and walls along our border that funds have been appropriated to add on to or maintain existing structures. But that money isn't NEARLY enough for the whole wall and isn't meant to build the whole wall.

President Trump specifically stated Saturday in Harrisburg: “The Wall will be built; don’t even think about it"

He can say it all day, but Congress is the one that opens up the purse.

I'm pretty sure nearly all Trump voters are extremely disappointoed in this bill. I know I am.

A win for Democrats is a synonymous with a loss for the USA.

It's post like this that make me glad the Dems won today. After having the Trump victory rubbed incessantly in my face for the last 6 months or so, It's nice to see that things aren't all rainbows and sunshine for you after all. Maybe some day you'll wake up and remember that the Democrats are Americans too, but I'm not holding my breath.

Just a quick question:

When did the "American" Democratic party start to associate with socialistic, communistic, Marxist ideologies covertly or otherwise? The democratic party supporters are all these things and more which is against our form of government, right or left. So maybe Americans by classification, but not really here..

I never said all the money for Trump's continuation of the wall approved in the nineties is in this five month spending bill.

Since the wall is in the federal budget already, the bidding process can continue unhindered until sptember when it will be fully funded and construction will begin.

This is the first time a new president has had any input on the spending budget during their first year.

Obama was too incompetant to get a budget passed before handing over the reigns.

Trump even got school vouchers thrown in which Obama was against.

This was a victory for Trump and American's who should have been having to live with Obama's budget until October.

The threat isn't as easy as singling out a certain individual at the top because that person stands out more than others to take the hits. It's very naive to think all your problems in life stem from one person, alone, who is screwing up everything in your opinion.

Bread and circus.

Wow. Even after this huge gut check of a spending bill, you are still unphased. Your zealotry is commendable. It's just too bad that everything you are saying isn't conducive to how reality is playing out.

Think about how much worse it would be if incompetent Obama had done his job and passed a spending bill.

I want to start by asking people to go back a couple of months to September of 2016, the last time we were talking about funding for all of fiscal year ’17. There was some discussion at that time when President Obama was still here abound funding the government for the entire fiscal year ’17. Can you imagine how different this bill is from what the bill that President Obama would have signed back in September? And it’s those differences that I want to talk about today, and those differences that summarize why we think this was a really solid bill for the administration.

What did we get more money for? We got more money for defense. We got more money for border security. We got more money for school choice. Looking around here, many of you were here in March when I came out for the very first time to talk about our budget blueprint. What did we ask for more money for? Defense, border security, school choice.

www.whitehouse.gov...

So basically the Trump Administration got a huge bonus.

Yes as it pertains to the Democratic party but not our form of government.

Did a Google search and got nothing but manifests, doctrines, ideologies, etc. All of which are antithetical to our form of government. So when did the Democratic party become comprised?

Bread and circus.

First off. This isn't about Obama's budgets; Trump #ed this up on his own. No need to compare to Obama. Second off, Obama's budgets weren't incompetent. He just knew how to fight politics better so the spending battles were more bitter fights. Third off, minus the defense spending and the border security money, this bill could very well be an Obama spending bill (heck it could even still BE an Obama bill if those two things happened to be things he compromised on).

I already answered that question, but the answer is a bit misleading. It wasn't just the Democrats who were Socialist in the early 1900's. The Republicans were Socialist too. What do you think the New Deal was exactly?

We are still in Obama's fiscal year until September but incompetant Barry dropped the ball.

By not signing a spending bill, thus giving Trump the power to get funding for things Obama was against.

What is so hard to understand about it?

Trump should have had no say whatsoever until the new fiscal year.
