This isn't about Obama, you are right, and you are missing the point once again, or rather, making points that have nothing to do with the issue.
It's not about previous presidents bragging about accomplishments and taking credit for successes. Not at all. It;s about a president who is more obsessed with, and concerned more about, his popularity and ratings than he is in anything that resembles coherent policy.
He's a Kardashian style president. That's the Trump Administration in a nutshell.

Sadly i have to agree. He does something and says look at me. And when he talks its always about the best starting to get annoying. Hes got the best of whatever hes talking about. He needs to cut it with the greatest crap and just do his job. And dont get me started on congress whos comming up on their second vacation and accomplished nothing,
Rant ended carry on.
I don't think so? I like the fact that the colour of his man-tan matches up with our favourite cucurbita and this little sobriquet rhymes with it so nicely. So I think it's more so than the fact that it also rhymes with bumpkin, which, while it reflects the rural roots of many of his minions, might also be construed as an unpleasantry.

Again, is the term "Trumpkin" meant to be an insult?
That's a fairly simple question.

Trump cares if he breaks records or not, and that's all he really cares about. Big crowds and being "impressive". The rest of us? Nope. But damned, if that isn't half of what he blows on about.
I guess you could say his policy and direction are pretty clear now. His policy is to feed his ego, wipe his butt with the constitution and founding principles of this country, throw tantrums and threats when he doesn't get his way, enrich the high priests in his cult, sell us out to the Russians, and focus on media ratings. That much he's made clear in his first 100.
I thought I made myself quite clear, I find it a merry little epithet. Is it a pejorative? How do you perceive it? Like I said, if it makes you sad, I can retire it. Meanwhile, let's just say it is no more insulting than 'snowflake'.

Your ability to hurt my feelings is way above your pay grade, sport.
I'm a big believer in free speech, so by all means, say anything you want. I couldn't care less.
Just be honest and answer the question: is it your intent that the term "Trumpkin", as used by YOU, be meant in a derogatory manner?

Welcome to Trumpland, where war = peace, freedom = slavery, and ignorance = strength.
Blah blah blah. As opposed to the bomb dropping Nobel Peace Prize winner who destroyed 2 countries. Where have you been?

Why does Trump state obvious falsehoods knowing full well everything he says will be checked and reported? Couldn't he see the empty seats?

There have to be empty seats because so many people are standing.
The fire marshall will not let in more than the capacity, so there has to be empty seats if hundreds are standing.
The media knows that, it was already reported in the past about the maximum capacity, but they point out the empty seats because they know that Trump haters will believe it without question.
It's really amazing the Democrats and media are on the same team.
