Socialism is achievable in the US. And don't tell me it can't be done.

And what about all those who aren't wanting to work, and don't care to work?

Admit that you'd like to either force those people to work or let them starve first, then maybe we can have a real conversation.

That goes for all the marxiphobes here as well.

With perseverance the social programs will shrink. With that the amount of those favoring socialism will shrink, once they get to experience the righteous indignation directed at those that they have to pay taxes to support that are perfectly capable of supporting themselves.

I'll admit it freely. If a person is capable of being self supporting but wants a free ride they should starve. There.. Happy?

I live in Canada where healthcare is free. I was in line to get my health card renewed the other day and it took hours of waiting in line. That's how bad socialist service is. Yeah it's slow. It's free, but the quality of service is crap.

My point is, socialism is achievable. As for the service, that's another story. Just compare public schools with private schools. Where do rich people send their kids? It's a no brainer.

Yeah, healthcare is free but you pay for it with the expensive beer, cigarettes etc.

And free housing, free education, free healthcare doesn't speak to the quality of all three.

Free shack, free indoctrination to love the state, and free healthcare if we deem your life is worth the cost to us.

We won't have a utopian society until the Vulcans make first contact.

Yeah, no thanks, I'm cool in the US. I prefer my hospitals to be not soo much requiring a hospital after you visit one...and one kid per seat..just my humble opinion.

One of the great freedoms we have here in America is the freedom to LEAVE America. Lots of socialists countries will welcome you if you are willing to sacrifice, and contribute to their "Stronger Together" system.

Yeah no thanks... I like it here... and this is just as much my country as it is yours.

In socialism everyone works for society for the benefit of society. Everyone works for everyone else. That's why it's call socialism which is derived from the word society. As opposed to working only for the profit of oneself.

I have no interest in working for a society. I am not stopping you from doing whatever you want. Your socialism requires me to be enslaved by you.

Please take you socialism and sod off.

You'll change your mind soon. You all will.

Marx was right, in order for Socialism to work, there can't be an opposition... and there won't be.

That's why it's going to work here... among many other reasons.

Sure, wanna be lazy, you don't deserve the fruits of MY labor. Starve or whatever other fate. Then responsible people can teach their orphans to work for what you need, not rely on those who do.
And second, marxiphobe is a misnomer. We aren't afraid of it. We despise it. We hate it and all of the suffering and death it has caused.

Why would we all have to drive the same kind of car? We already produce a wide variety of vehicles here and by the end of Trump's tenure I hope we'll be producing many more.
