LOL...is that why democrats are trying to stop the wall being completely built?... because it would be ineffective in stopping, or deterring illegals and other crimes from coming into the U.S. from south of the border?...

BTW, you keep pushing this false narrative about Roe vs Wade, but you are showing a complete ignorance of what was decided in that case...

...
(a) For the stage prior to approximately the end of the first trimester, the abortion decision and its effectuation must be left to the medical judgment of the pregnant woman's attending physician. Pp. 163, 164.

(b) For the stage subsequent to approximately the end of the first trimester, the State, in promoting its interest in the health of the mother, may, if it chooses, regulate the abortion procedure in ways that are reasonably related to maternal health. Pp. 163, 164.

(c) For the stage subsequent to viability the State, in promoting its interest in the potentiality of human life, may, if it chooses, regulate, and even proscribe, abortion except where necessary, in appropriate medical judgment, for the preservation of the life or health of the mother. Pp. 163-164; 164-165.

caselaw.findlaw.com...

Roe vs Wade clearly stated that the states can decide on the third trimester to protect the life of the child.

But what you are claiming is because there are states making decisions on the third trimester, even though Roe vs Wade agrees with this position, that this is the same as having delusional democrats stop building a wall which would stop or slow down crime from south of the border...

Show me a law which states illegal immigration, and other crimes that occur because illegal immigration are not crimes...

Capice, or still no capice and need more help in lighting that lightbulb in your head?

BTW, not that long ago democrats had a different opinion on building a wall and immigration...

The only bias comes from democrats, and others like yourself that can't differentiate crimes with what issues states can decide.

Again, show us ONE LAW that states the following are not crimes. Illegal immigration, drug trafficking, identity theft, and fraud among other crimes which are exacerbated because of illegal immigration which in itself is a crime.

Please see this thread's topic:
Democrats Deny Work to Conservative Businesses

You're going off topic here. I'm not the one who keeps changing the subject.

This thread is about lawmakers trying to enact laws that restrict and/or punish businesses from performing legal business services, based on those lawmakers' personal bias on political issues. It's not about Trump's wall. It's not about immigration. It's not about Roe V Wade or fetal viability.

Capice? I doubt it!

Humm, let's read directly from the op...

In California, Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday advanced a measure to bar the state from awarding contracts to any company involved in the walls construction, while a bill to prevent the state’s massive pension funds from investing in those companies stands pending. Lawmakers introduced similar measures in New York and Rhode Island. The city of San Francisco is considering a blacklist, and Berkeley adopted one last month.

Heck, the title from politico that the op linked reads...

Democrats turn the screws on border wall builders

Puts on his best imitation of Al Pacino: "I am going to stomp you like a cockroach if you don't capiche, okay?"

BTW, even the op pointed out the hypocrisy of the left who have agreed on building the wall...

For the record...the "wall" is a legal effort already voted upon and accepted when called a fence by the left in the House and Senate. Securing our border is a requirement of our government...but California...the home of liberal, progressives that have gone too far...is happy to damage other American businesses in efforts to pursuede such businesses to NOT do the work required.
...

The only one who keeps trying to derail is you, and when you are shown your own ignorance even about the off topic excuse you keep trying to use, you try to claim that "others are the ones derailing".

You have shown complete ignorance as to what the topic has been from the start.

You keep focusing on the merit of Trump's wall and your outrage at lawmakers for resisting his agenda, and not on the fact that lawmakers are making laws barring and punishing individuals and businesses from participating in legal activates that go against the lawmakers' personal agenda.

In California, Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday advanced a measure to bar the state from awarding contracts to any company involved in the wall’s construction.........

To make my point, I'll "edit" the first sentence of the paragraph:

In Washington DC, Republican President Trump, signed an Executive order allowing states to bar their state from awarding Medicare and Medical reimbursements to any company involved in legal abortion........

Regardless of whether or not you love the wall idea and hate abortion, the sentiment and the legal ramifications are the same. Why is this okay with you in one situation, but not the other? Could it be your bias?

For the record, I'm opposed to both.

Is it Age discrimination in some states you can get an earlier drivers licence, or maintain different jobs? What is your point? Federal laws are too blanket, this is why States Rights isn't discrimination. Your issue is with laws and bias with California, not states rights. Do you live in Cali? Or even a state near part of the wall? That's the deciding factor in your voice isn't it? Not the technicality of it? Otherwise why have state rights at all.
