To be fair, there are very few actual
anarchists. Its kind of like "liberal," where the label my be applied but its kind of like putting a
cotton candy label on a bag of bowties.
I'd guess most are in that interesting age group of late teens, early twenties and are unlikely to explore novel avenues for anarchism. Instead,
holding to other, more established, systems but with a much cooler title. Yeah, yeah, "no true Scotsman."
On this topic..
It seems it has become disturbingly easy to justify behavior like this, conflating violence with peaceful assembly on varying levels.
In the strictest terms, there may not be an establishment-led silencing, but this behavior will lead to absolutely nothing good.
I think it is in error to support it, deflect from it, focus on semantics, or defend it in any way just in order to maintain partisan expectations.
Frankly, there are more effective means for us to make real progress outside of these avenues we are being corralled in, and that goes for so many hot
topics of today. Soon enough, I'd guess this is likely to be engaged in by both "sides," and then both will justify it by pointing to the other in
escalating perpetuity. That's not going to lead to anything that either side wants, though plenty seem to think otherwise.
I may feel grimy for doing anything positive in regards to Ann Coulter though..
