Howdy howdy...mind if i sit?

although i've replied to posts a couple of times (and lurked for ages), i haven't done my "introduction" thread yet. i use my phone so much, and there is no way i'm gonna clickety-clack with those tiny lil buttons trying to type one up.
but here i am. why am i here? not necessarily to get to the bottom of things. some things have no bottom. some things don't even exist. but i am fascinated by the thinking that leads people to their conclusions. i don't mind an intellectual argument or a differing opinion...those are the things that make the world go round. people are intriguing. mostly.
a few of the topics i like to poke around at are time travel and outer space (in all of its glory). i'm an amature global politics dabbler, but i have no stomach for "american" politics. the past and it's mysteries catch my attention. and who doesn't love a juicy conspiracy?!
i rarely shy away from a chit-chat revolving around "what if?".
i could warn you of my sarcasm (because we all know sometimes it doesn't translate via text), but i assume that you good folks here can tell the difference between a bad attitude and a sense of humor.
and off i go!
